Face mask detection based on algorithm YOLOv5s
...Show More Authors

Determining the face of wearing a mask from not wearing a mask from visual data such as video and still, images have been a fascinating research topic in recent decades due to the spread of the Corona pandemic, which has changed the features of the entire world and forced people to wear a mask as a way to prevent the pandemic that has calmed the entire world, and it has played an important role. Intelligent development based on artificial intelligence and computers has a very important role in the issue of safety from the pandemic, as the Topic of face recognition and identifying people who wear the mask or not in the introduction and deep education was the most prominent in this topic. Using deep learning techniques and the YOLO (”You only look once”) neural network algorithm, which is an efficient real-time object identification algorithm, an intelligent system was developed in this thesis to distinguish which faces are wearing a mask and who is not wearing a wrong mask. The proposed system was developed based on data preparation, preprocessing, and adding a multi-layer neural network, followed by extracting the detection algorithm to improve the accuracy of the system. Two global data sets were used to train and test the proposed system and worked on it in three models, where the first contains the AIZOO data set, the second contains the MoLa RGB CovSurv data set, and the third model contains a combined data set for the two in order to provide cases that are difficult to identify and the accuracy results that were obtained. obtained from the merging datasets showed that the face mask (0.953) and the face recognition system were the most accurate in detecting them (0.916).

DETECTION OF GENE EXPRESSION OF SERINE PALMITOYLTRANSFERASE (SPT2) IN MOUSE CELL LINE RAW264.7 INFECTED WITH LEISHMANIA MEXICANA AMASTIGOTES
...Show More Authors

Leishmania species are the causative agent of a tropical disease known as leishmaniasis. Previous studies on the old world species Leishmania major, showed that the amastigotes form which resides inside the macrophage of the vertebrate host, utilize host’s sphingolipids for survival and proliferation. In this study, gene expression of serine palmitoyltransferase (SPT) subunit two (MmLCB2) of the mouse macrophage cell line (RAW264.7), which is the first enzyme in the de novo sphingolipid biosynthesis, was detected in both infected and non-infected macrophages. This was detected under condition where available sphingolipid was reduced, with the new world species Leishmania mexicana. Results of qPCR analysis showed that there was no differen

The Influence of NMI against Modularity in Community Detection Problem: A Case Study for Unsigned and Signed Networks
...Show More Authors

Community detection is useful for better understanding the structure of complex networks. It aids in the extraction of the required information from such networks and has a vital role in different fields that range from healthcare to regional geography, economics, human interactions, and mobility. The method for detecting the structure of communities involves the partitioning of complex networks into groups of nodes, with extensive connections within community and sparse connections with other communities. In the literature, two main measures, namely the Modularity (Q) and Normalized Mutual Information (NMI) have been used for evaluating the validation and quality of the detected community structures. Although many optimization algo

Quantitative analysis of sentinel lymph node detection using a novel small field of view hybrid gamma camera (HGC)
...Show More Authors

Introduction The Hybrid Gamma Camera (HGC) is being developed to enhance the localisation of radiopharmaceutical uptake in targeted tissues during surgical procedures such as sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy. Purpose To assess the capability of the HGC, a lymph-node-contrast (LNC) phantom was constructed for an evaluative study simulating medical scenarios of varying radioactivity concentration and SLN size. Materials and methods The phantom was constructed using two methyl methacrylate PMMA plates (8 mm thick). The SLNs were simulated by drilling circular wells of diameters ranging between 10 mm and 2.5 mm (16 wells in total) in one plate. These simulated SLNs were placed underneath scattering material with thicknesses ranging between 5 mm

Analysis of the effectiveness of natural treatments for preserving apricots and the YOLOv7 application for early damage detection
...Show More Authors

Maintaining the quality of apricot fruits during storage is not an easy task due to the changes in their physical and chemical properties, so it is necessary to use less expensive, easy to apply, environmentally friendly, and safer preservatives to maintain the nutritional value of apricot. The damage to some fruits during storage can be a source of infection, which leads to the damage of healthy fruits more quickly, which requires building an intelligent model to detect damaged fruits. The aim of the research is to study the effect of immersing apricots in lemon juice once and sugar-water solution again on the quality properties of apricots, including sweetness, color, hardness, and water content. On the other hand, the YOLOv7 algorithm wa
