Objectives: This research aims to study the artificial intelligence (AI) skills re-quired by employees in information institutions, specifically university libraries in Iraq, to enhance their services and align with modern technological advancements. It highlights the gap between the current knowledge of employees in Al technologies and their practical applications to improve the services of information institutions. Methodology: The research adopted a descriptive survey method, targeting em- ployees in three prestigious university libraries in Baghdad: the Central Library of the University of Baghdad, the Central Library and House of Books of Al-Mustansiriyah University, and the Central Library of the Iraqi University. A sample of (160)

Palm print recognition is considered a fundamental aspect of biometric identification systems due to the inherent stability, reliability, and uniqueness of palm print features, coupled with their non-invasive nature. In this paper, we develop an approach to identify individuals from palm print image recognition using Orange software in which a hybrid of AI methods: Deep Learning (DL) and traditional Machine Learning (ML) methods are used to enhance the overall performance metrics. The system comprises of three stages: pre-processing, feature extraction, and feature classification or matching. The SqueezeNet deep le

The current research aims to produce green (environmentally friendly) concrete by using plastic waste as coarse aggregates in different proportions (10% and 20%) and nano silica sand powder as an alternative to cement in different proportions (5% and 10% by weight). The results showed that compressive strength decreased by 12.10% and 19.23% for 10% and 20% plastic waste replacement and increased by 12.89% and 20.39% for 5% and 10% silica sand replacement respectively at 28 days. The research hypothesis is whether the modern state’s orientation towards exploiting a modern energy source such as geothermal energy contributes in some way to achieving another source of energy and benefiting from it to enhance the building of a new type of state power from buried energy sources? And does artificial intelligence technology contribute to solving a specific problem by exp

Show MoreThis paper proposes a hybrid artificial intelligence (AI) model that combines an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to predict the Quality of Service (QoS) in 5G networks. The model utilizes radio channel indicators such as Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ), Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), and Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) to forecast throughput and latency levels. These indicators are critical factors affecting network performance; however, the nonlinear relationship among them makes traditional analytical models inadequate for accurate QoS prediction. The importance of the current study lies in estimating QoS in 5G networks by combining
