The Effectiveness of a Training Program Based on Employing the Educational Portal in Developing the Skills of the Administrative Body in Basic Education Schools in Dhofar Governorate
...Show More Authors

The objective of the study was to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on the employment of the educational portal in the development of the skills of the administrative body in the basic education schools in Dhofar Governorate. To achieve the goal, a training program was designed that includes the skills of the educational portal to be met by the administrative body and measuring its effectiveness. A questionnaire to identify training needs, and a notecard to evaluate performance. The study sample consisted of (70) individuals of the administrative staff. The researchers used the descriptive-analytical method to identify the training needs, design and build the training program and the experimental method for applying

Novel use of XRF in the adsorption processes for the direct analysis of cadmium and silver in absorbent Na-alginate beads
...Show More Authors

The Na-alginate bead is commonly used in biotechnology fields such as adsorption due to ion exchange between Ca and Na with elements. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDX) has proven to be a comparative method in the detections of these adsorbed elements, but the un-flat forming area of beads that can introduce impossible of the detection of element adsorbed. In contrast, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) documents analysis of elements, direct examination, which may analysis the adsorbents of elements. Here, this Study evaluated the possibility by using XRF for the direct analysis for examples of Cd and Ag in a bench stand. This Study compared this to commonly use

A novel sol-gel silica formulation for management of methadone hydrochloride abuse
...Show More Authors

Introduction: Methadone hydrochloride (MDN) is an effective pharmacological substitution treatment for opioids dependence, adopted in different countries as methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) programmes. However, MDN can exacerbate the addiction problem if it is abused and injected intravenously, and the frequent visits to the MMT centres can reduce patient compliance. The overall aim of this study is to develop a novel extended-release capsule of MDN using the sol-gel silica (SGS) technique that has the potential to counteract medication-tampering techniques and associated health risks and reduce the frequent visits to MMT centres. Methods: For MDN recrystallisation, a closed container method (CCM) and hot-stage method (HSM) were conduc

Synthesis, characterization and liquid crystalline properties of novel benzimidazol-8-hydroxyquinoline complexes
...Show More Authors

The synthesis, characterization and liquid crystalline properties of N4,N40-bis((1 H-benzo[d]imidazol-2- yl)methyl)-3,30-dimethyl-[1,10-biphenyl]-4,40-diamine and of their corresponding Mn(II), Fe(II), Ni (II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes are described. The ligand and complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements (meff), conductometric measurements and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H NMR), (13C-NMR) and UV–Vis spectroscopy. Spectral investigations suggested octahedral coordination geometrical arrangement for M(II) complexes. The phase transition temperatures were detected by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis and the phases are confirmed by op

Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Schiff Bases Containing Isoxazoline or Pyrazoline Unit
...Show More Authors

This work involves synthesis of novel Schiff bases derivatives contining isoxazoline or pyrazoline units starting with chalcons . 4-Aminoacetophenone was react with pnitrobenzaldehyde or p-chlorobenzaldehyde in basic medium giving chalcones [I]a,b by claisenschemidt reactions. The chalcones [I]a,b were reacted with hydroxylamine hydrochloride giving isoxazolines [II]a,b  in basic medium. The chalcone [I]a could also reacted with hydrazine hydrate to give pyrazolines [III]a  . The novel Schiff bases with structural formula [VIII]n , [IX]n , [X]m and [XI]m were prepared by the reaction of amino compounds ; isoxazoline [II]a,b and pyrazolines [III]a with monoaldehydes [VI]n and dialdehydes [VII]m , respectively in dry benze

Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Compounds Containing of Imidazolidinone and Oxazepine Rings
...Show More Authors

The compound 3-[4Ì„-(4Ë-methoxy benzoyloxy) benzylideneamino]-2-thioxo-imidazolidine-4-one [III] was prepared from the cyclization of thiosemicarbazone [II] with
ethyl α -chloroacetate in the presence of fused sodium acetate. Treatment the later compound
with acetic anhydride yielded the corresponding 1-Acetyl-3-[ 4Ì„- (4Ë- methoxy benzoyloxy)
benzylideneamino] – 2 – thioxo -imidazolidine-4-one [IV]. 1,3-Oxazepine derivatives [V]a-d
and [VI]a-d are obtained from the reaction of compounds[III] and [IV] with different acid
anhydrides, in dry benzene. The FTIR and
1
HNMR spectroscopy are indicated a good
evidence for the formation of the synthesized compounds. Some of the synthesized

A novel kite cross hexagonal search algorithm for fast block motion estimation
...Show More Authors

The performance quality and searching speed of Block Matching (BM) algorithm are affected by shapes and sizes of the search patterns used in the algorithm. In this paper, Kite Cross Hexagonal Search (KCHS) is proposed. This algorithm uses different search patterns (kite, cross, and hexagonal) to search for the best Motion Vector (MV). In first step, KCHS uses cross search pattern. In second step, it uses one of kite search patterns (up, down, left, or right depending on the first step). In subsequent steps, it uses large/small Hexagonal Search (HS) patterns. This new algorithm is compared with several known fast block matching algorithms. Comparisons are based on search points and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). According to resul
