Developing Undergraduate Students' Geography Learning Skills during Fieldwork and Their Attitude toward It: Developing Undergraduate Students' Geography Learning Skills during Fieldwork and Their Attitude toward It
...Show More Authors

Abstract

This study identified the developing of a range of students' geography learning skills and the change in their attitudes toward fieldwork as a consequence of leaning experiences that occurred within a field trip. The sample of the study consisted of (27) students within a special topic course enrolled in Geography Department at Umm Al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia in semester 2, 2018. A range of students' geography learning skills were measured by the skills questionnaire that consisted of 12 geography skills after completing field work. Changes in students' attitudes towards fieldwork was measured through a modified version of Boyle et al.'s (2007) attitudes instrument at the beginning and at the end of the field trip. Interviews were used to enhance the studies' instruments as a data gathering technique. The findings of the study showed that students developed the all geography learning skills, where more than 95% of students felt that they developed their basic problem solving, sampling, measuring & recording, survey methods, information gathering, data analysis, safety and communication & transferable skills. While 92% of students developed observation and integration skill, 90% developed identification skills, 89% developed experimental design skill, and finally, 76% developed interpretation skill. The students increased their enjoyment (t=12.77, p<0.001) as a consequence of doing fieldwork. A similar result was produced for collaboration (t=14.44, p<0.001) over the field trip. The students' responses of interviews questions supported quantitative results.

Investigation of the State Vectors and Prediction of the Orbital Elements for Spot-6 Satellite during 1300 periods with Perturbations
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Computer simulations were carried out to investigate the dependence of the main perturbation parameters (Sun and Moon attractions, solar radiation pressure, atmosphere drag, and geopotential of Earth) on the orbital behavior of satellite. In this simulation, the Cowell method for accelerations technique was adopted, the equation of motion with perturbation was solved by 4th order Runge-Kutta method with step (1/50000) of period to obtain the state vectors for position and velocity. The results of this simulation have been compared with data that available on TLEs (NORD data in two line elements). The results of state vectors for satellites (Cartosat-2B, Gsat-14 an</p> ... Islamic law had posed (Jizyah: tribute) upon the Jews and Christians who were living under Muslim rule as a reaction of not embracing Islam Faith against securing their rights and freedom.
Freedoms secured by Islam for the (People of Thimma) had been many, including the right of faith, not coercing them to be Muslim, the right to live, to possess properties, protect and secure them, the

Background: Study looking into cardiovascular disorders (CVD) medicines or analgesics cost-saving activities during dispensing process is lacking.

Aim: To determine differences in factors and costs associated with refused CVD medicines or analgesics during dispensing process

Method: This study was approved by Medical Research and Ethics Committee (MREC) (Registration number: NMRR-20-177-53153(IIR)). Participants receiving CVD medicines or analgesics during dispensing process were recruited via convenience sampling technique between February and March 2020 at the Specialist Pharmacy Department of Jerantut Hospital, Malaysia. Refusal to medications and its reasons were asked based on the questionnaire developed by the resea

Using Public and Private Cloud Computing in developing the Evaluation System of annual employees' performance at Iraqi Universities: A comparative study

Abstract

Business organizations are using the technological innovations like cloud computing (CC) as a developmental platform in order to improve the performance of their information systems. In that context, our paper discusses know-how in employing the public and private CC to serve as platforms to develop the evaluation system of annual employees' performance (ESAEP) at Iraqi universities. Therefore, we ask the paper question which is “Is it possible to adopt the innovative solutions of ICTs (Like: public and private CC) for finding the developmental vision about management information systems at business organizations?”. In addition, the paper aim

Trimethoprim derivative Schiff bases are versatile ligands synthesized with carbonyl groups from the condensation of primary amines (amino acids). Because of their broad range of biological activity, these compounds are very important in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Biological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal and antitumor activity are often seen. Transition metal complexes derived from biological activity Schiff base ligands have been commonly used.

Study the genesis of the Moons of Jupiter and their Physical Properties

A developed model has been put for the hypothesis of capturing moons in explaining the origin of Jupiter moons, and study the change of the orbital properties of these satellites as well as the distance from the planet. Jupiter moons were divided into two types according to their physical and orbital properties, they are the moons , which are formed from the same material as the planet, so it was named the original moons ,while the moons that have been captured from the surrounding space was renamed exotic moons . And the moons of exotic origin asteroid belt and the Kuiper belt in the region which is behind Neptune, the origin of each clique of moons is an asteroid fragmented after colliding previously with another body and

Exploring generalizations of fibrewise micro-topological spaces and their applications in mathematics
...Show More Authors

Abstract. Fibrewise micro-topological spaces be a useful tool in various branches of mathematics. These mathematical objects are constructed by assigning a micro-topology to each fibre from a fibre bundle. The fibrewise micro-topological space is then formed by taking the direct limit of these individual micro-topological spaces. It can be adapted to analyze various mathematical structures, from algebraic geometry to differential equations. In this study, we delve into the generalizations of fibrewise micro-topological spaces and explore the applications of these abstract structures in different branches of mathematics. This study aims to define the fibrewise micro topological space through the generalizations that we use in this paper, whi
