اثر استخدام المختبر العلمي

أن التقدم والتطور العلمي اللذين حدثا خلال القرن العشرين كان لهما اثر كبير في المسيرة العلمية ، حيث أن من المفترض على أفراد مجتمع المتعلمين أن يتزودوا بمهارات التفكير العلمي لكي تمكنهم من العيش في العصر الحالي وليشاركوا فيه بذكاء وفاعلية حتى يحققوا لذاتهم ملائمة أفضل مع التغييرات والتطورات المختلفة التي حدثت في العالم لذا فان طرائق التدريس أصبحت حاجة ملحة لا تقل أهميتها عن المدرس والمادة الدراسية حيث أكدت جميع المؤتمرات والندوات إتباع طرائق التدريس الحديثة ورفع الكفاية التعليمية للمتعلم فكانت طريقة الاستكشاف من بين هذه الطرائق التي يكشف بواسطتها الطالب الأشياء بنفسه ويوضح المكثف الأول وليجد بنفسه سبيله إلى المعرفة . ويهدف البحث الى معرفة اثر استخدام المختبر الاستكشافي في التفكير العلمي لدى طلبة معهد الطب التقني في مادة الإحياء المهجرية من خلال التحقق من الفرضية الصفرية لا يوجد فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات التفكير العلمي المجموعة التجريبية التي تستخدم الطريقة الاستكشافية والمجموعة الضابطة التي تستخدم المختبر التقليدي ، ثم استخدام التصميم التجريبي ذات الاختبار ألبعدي حيث تحدد البحث الحالي بطلبة معهد الطب التقني للعام الدراسي 2007- 2008 حيث اختيرت الشعبتين أ- ب عشوائياً ، اذ  بلغ عدد العينة (62) طالباً وطالبة وبواقع (32) طالب وطالبة للمجموعة التجريبية اما المجموعة الضابطة فعددها (30) طالب وطالبة وكوفئت في متغيرات ( العمر ، التحصيل الدراسي السابق لمادة الأحياء ، الذكاء ) وتم تحقيق من معامل الصعوبة والسهولة والقوة التميزية وحساب معامل الثبات باستخدام  معادلة كودرريتشاردسون  حيث بلغ عدد الثبات (87، 0 ) للفقرات الموضوعة في الاختبار ، حيث أظهرت النتائج تفوق المجموعة التجريبية التي درست مادة الإحياء المهجرية وفق الطريقة الاستكشافية على المجموعة الضابطة حيث ان استخدام الطريقة الاستكشافية تؤدي الى تنمية مهارات التفكير العلمي وتقترح الباحثة أجراء دراسة تتناول اثر استخدام المختبر الاستكشافي بمتغيرات أخرى مثل تنمية التفكير ألابتكاري وتنمية التفكير الناقد .

Studying the Possibility of using Paint to Reduce the Amount of Radon Gas Emitted from Cement

In the present work, it had been measured the concentration of radon gas (CRn) for (10) samples of cement used in constructions before and after painting them using enamel paint, purchased from the local markets, to see the extent of its ability to reduce emissions of Rn-222 in the air. Implementation of Neural Control for Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR)

In this paper a dynamic behavior and control of  a jacketed continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR)  is developed using different control strategies, conventional feedback control (PI and PID), and neural network (NARMA-L2, and NN Predictive) control. The dynamic model for CSTR process is described by a first order lag system with dead time.

The optimum tuning of control parameters are found by two different methods; Frequency Analysis Curve method (Bode diagram) and Process Reaction Curve using the mean of Square Error (MSE) method. It is found that the Process Reaction Curve method is better than the Frequency Analysis Curve method and PID feedback controller is better than PI feedback controller.

Al-Khriet Agricultural Waste Adsorbent, for Removal Lead and Cadmium Ion from Aqueous Solutions

The availability of low- cost adsorbent namely Al-Khriet ( a substance found in the legs of Typha  Domingensis) as an agricultural waste material, for the removal of lead and cadmium from aqueous solution was investigated. In the batch tests experimental parameters were studied, including adsorbent dosage between (0.2-1) g, initial metal ions concentration between (50-200) ppm (single and binary) and contact time (1/2-6) h. The removal percentage of each ion onto Al-Khriet reached equilibrium in about 4 hours. The highest adsorption capacity was for lead (96%) while for cadmium it was (90%) with 50 ppm ions concentration, 1 g dosage of adsorbent and pH 5.5.
