...Show More Authors

The study aims to measure life management (in its various approaches) among   university academics and to identify the differences among life management strategies (in its various approaches) in regard of gender (male, female), field of education (scientific, humanitarian) and title (assistant lecturer, lecturer, assistant professor, and professor). The study sample consisted of (246) male and female academics from four colleges (Arts, Science, Science education, and Humanitarian Science Education). To achieve the goals of the study, the researchers used the Freund & Baltes (2002) life-management strategies scale after translating it and determining its parameters of reliability and validity. The statistical analysis of the collected data showed that Mosul University academics have effective life management strategies. No significant differences were found in using these strategies according to gender and the scientific title whereas significant differences according to the type of education were found in favor of humanitarian studies. Based on the results, the researches set a number of recommendations.

Here is a professional and precise English translation of the text, formatted for clarity and academic/report standards: ## Translation Sustainable management of irrigation water is one of the most critical challenges facing the agricultural sector in Iraq, including the Al-Mahmoudiya district. As a vital rural and agricultural area, Al-Mahmoudiya relies on agriculture as a primary source of livelihood, particularly for cultivating grains, vegetables, and certain horticultural crops. Farmers in the district mainly depend on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers and their branching canals, as well as groundwater in certain areas. However, the prevailing irrigation methods remain traditional, leading to significant water waste and low water-use e

High Speed Shock Peening by Fiber Laser for Al Alloy 6061-T6 Thin Sheets
...Show More Authors

Under cyclic loading, aluminum alloys exhibit less fatigue life than steel alloys of similar strength and this is considered as Achilles's heel of such alloys. A nanosecond fiber laser was used to apply high speed laser shock peening process on thin aluminum plates in order to enhance the fatigue life by introducing compressive residual stresses. The effect of three working parameters namely the pulse repetition rate (PRR), spot size (ω) and scanning speed (v) on limiting the fatigue failure was investigated. The optimum results, represented by the longer fatigue life, were at PRR of 22.5 kHz, ω of 0.04 mm and at both v's of 200 and 500 mm/sec. The research yielded significant results represented by a maximum percentage increase in the fa
