The wastewater arising from pulp and paper mills is highly polluted and has to be treated before discharged into rivers. Coagulation-flocculation process using natural polymers has grown rapidly in wastewater treatment. In this work, the performance of alum and Polyaluminum Chloride (PACl) when used alone and when coupled with Fenugreek mucilage on the treatment of pulp and paper mill wastewater were studied. The experiments were carried out in jar tests with alum, PACl and Fenugreek mucilage dosages range of 50-2000 mg/L, rapid mixing at 200 rpm for 2 min, followed by slow mixing at 40 rpm for 15 min and settling time of 30 min. Biological activity of the carotenoids which are produced fromchemically-mutaed local isolate of Rhodotorula mucilaginosawas studied. Acute toxoplasmosis (AT) which is caused by Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) leads to induction of pro-inflammatory and/or oxidative stress changes through activation of host immune response. Therefore, the endeavor of the present study was to assess endothelial dysfunction(ED) and oxidative stress in patients with acute toxoplasmosis.

A LiF (TLD-700) PTFED disc has adiameter of (13mm) and thickness of (0.4mm) for study the response and sensetivity of this material for gamma and beta rays by using (TOLEDO) system from pitman company. In order to calibrate the system and studying the calibration factor. Discs were irradiated for Gamma and Beta rays and comparing with the theoretical doses. The exposure range is between 15×10-2 mGy to 1000×10-2 mGy. These doses are within the range of normal radiation field for workers.
