The study aimed to clarify the meanings learned and inferred from reading books، letters and messages in Surat Al-Qur’an. Authentic materials are the most important tools that the teacher could use in class in order to make teaching go smoothly and effectively in transmitting the necessary knowledge to all students. The current study aims to identify university students' attitudes towards reading and its relationship to some demographic variables in the universities of the Sultanate of Oman.
