The Relationship between Retirement Problems and Psychological Flexibility among Palestinian Retirees in Gaza Governorates
...Show More Authors

The study aims at knowing the relationship between retirement problems and psychological flexibility, besides identifying the difference of retirement problems and psychological flexibility due to the wok place variable and sex variable.

The study sample consists of 250 registered retirees in both associations of the government and the UNRWA. The researcher had prepared and used a retirement problems scale and a psychological flexibility scale. The study findings show the following:

 1. The economic problems were greatly common by a relative weight of 76.3 %.
 2. The psychological compatibility was the most widespread domain in the psychological flexibility scale among the retirees by a relative weight of 56.33%.
 3. A negative relation was recorded between retirement problems and psychological flexibility among the retirees.
 4. There were no statistically significant differences in all domains of the retirement problems scale and the total score due to the work place variable, except for the economic problems that were in favor of the UNRWA retirees.
 5. There were no statistically significant differences in all domains of the psychological flexibility scale and the total score.
 6. There were statistically significant differences in all domains of retirement problems due to sex variable in favor of males, while no statistically significant differences in psychological flexibility due to sex variable.

Localization of Maxillary Impacted Canine Using Cone Beam Computed Tomography for Assessmentof Angulation, Distance From Occlusal Plane, Alveolar Width and Proximity to Adjacent Teeth
...Show More Authors

ABSTRACT Backgrounds: Maxillary canine impaction is complicated and time consuming to treat, for being highly diverse in inclination and location; it may be a companied by root resorption of the neighboring teeth. CBCT has been used for its' diagnostic reliability in localization of impacted canine and revealing its' serious local complications. Objectives: Localization of maxillary impacted canine using cone beam computed tomography for assessment of angulation, distance from occlusal plane, alveolar width and proximity to adjacent teeth. Subjects and Methods: The study sample was 33 subjects 16 females and 17 males attended to Al-Wasitti general hospital in Baghdad city-Oral and maxillofacial radiology department for CBCT scan investigati

Commercial Graphite Flakes as an Adsorbent of Janus Green Dye from Aqueous Solution: Adsorption Kinetics and Isotherms Study
...Show More Authors

Commercial graphite (CGT) powder was used as an adsorbent surface for cationic dye, Janus green (JG), from aqueous solutions. This study aims to highlight the practical significance of using inexpensive CGT as an efficient adsorbent for the removal of JG dye from industrial wastewater. CGT was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The adsorption process was investigated by examining parameters like the weight of the adsorbent, contact time, and temperature. Pseudo-second-order kinetic (PSO), pseudo-first-order, and intraparticle diffusion were used for analyzing the kinetic data. JG dye's adsorption kinetics fit the PSO kinetic model well (R2= 0.999). Synthesis and Characterization of Some Metal Complexes of [2-chloro-N-(1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1Hpyrazol-4-ylcarbamothioyl)acetamide] (L)
...Show More Authors

A new ligand [ 2-chloro-N- (1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro -1H-pyrazol- 4- ylcarbamothioyl)acetamide](L) was synthesized by reacting the Chloro acetyl isothiocyanate with 4-aminoantipyrine,The ligand was characterized by(C HNS) elemental microanalysis and the spectral measurements including Uv-Vis ,IR ,1H and13C NMR spectra, some transition metals complex of this ligand were prepared and characterized by Uv-Vis, FT-IR spectra, conductivity measurements, magnetic susceptibility and atomic absorption. From the obtained results the molecular formula of all prepared complexes were [M(L)2(H2O)2]Cl2 (M+2 =Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg),the proposed geometrical structure for all complexes were octahedra

Mixed-ligand metal complexes of a p Hydroxybenzaldehyde – 4-Aminoantipyrine Schiff Base with 2,2′-Bipyridine: Synthesis, characterization, antibacterial evaluation, molecular docking and ADME studies
...Show More Authors

Background/aim: The rising challenge of microbial resistance necessitates the development of novel therapeutic agents. This study aims to synthesize, characterize, and evaluate the antimicrobial potential of a new series of mixed-ligand metal complexes (ZnII, CuII, NiII, and MnII) derived from a p-hydroxybenzaldehyde-4-aminoantipyrine Schiff base and 2,2′-bipyridine, in addition to assessing the binding affinity and pharmacokinetic properties of the synthesized free Schiff base ligand through molecular docking and ADME profiling. Methods: The Schiff base ligand and its transition metal complexes were synthesized and subsequently characterized using single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, FTIR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, NMR, mag

Green synthesis of porous carbon cross-linked Y zeolite nanocrystals material and its performance for adsorptive removal of a methyl violet dye from water
...Show More Authors

The cost-effective carbon cross-linked Y zeolite nanocrystals composite (NYC) was prepared using an eco-friendly substrate prepared from bio-waste and organic adhesive at intermediate conditions. The green synthesis method dependent in this study assures using chemically harmless compounds to ensure homogeneous distribution of zeolite over porous carbon. The greenly prepared cross-linked composite was extensively characterized using Fourier transform infrared, nitrogen adsorption/desorption, Field emission scanning electron microscope, Dispersive analysis by X-ray, Thermogravimetric analysis, and X-ray diffraction. NYC had a surface area of 176.44 m2/g, and a pore volume of 0.0573 cm3/g. NYC had a multi-function nature, sustained at a long-

In this work, the preparation of new multidentate Schiff-base lig and and its metal complexes are described. The formation of the lig and{ 2,2`((5-methyl-1,3-phenylene)-bis-(oxy))-bis-N`(E`)-2- hydroxybenzylideneacetohydrazide}[H2L] was prepared from the reaction {2,2-((5-methyl-1,3-phenylene)-bis-(oxy))- di-(acetohydrazide)}[M]precursor and salicylaldehyde in a 1:2 mole ratio, respectively. The reaction of the lig and [H2L] with (Cr+3 , Mn+2 and Fe+2 )metal ions in a 1:2 (L:M) mole ratio. Ligand and complexes were characterised via spectroscopic analyses; [FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy,(C.H.N) microanalysis, chloride content, thermal analysis(TG), electrospray mass, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. Correlation of Her-2/neu gene amplification by FISH and CISH with clinicopathological parameter of Iraqi breast carcinoma patients at central public health laboratories
...Show More Authors

The objective of the study: is to investigate the correlations between the HER2 neu gene status with the clinicopathological parameters of infiltrative breast carcinoma. A total of seventy four Iraqi breast cancer patients were collected from one center (Department of Public Health) paraffin blocks were collected from histopathology department central public health laboratories, Bagdad, Iraq from 2014-2015. The cases which has been taken included invasive ductal and invasive lobular carcinoma type Women age were ranged from 24-80 years old. Evaluation of Her-2/neu gene amplification status was done using FISH and CISH techniques that showed a significant correlations with clinicopathological parameters.
