A total of 28 birds were examined to investigate about the distribution of the nematode Hadjelia truncata among some members of the avian family Columbidae in Al-Diwaniya Province, Central Iraq. The percentages of the infection rate with this nematode were 27.27, 37.5, 14.28 and 0 in Columba livia, C. palumbis, Streptopelia decaocto, and S. turtur respectively. Reporting Hadjelia truncata from Streptopelia decaocto constitutes a new host record.

An enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection and quantitation of human immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against vero- cytotoxine (VT) producing Escherichia coli serogroup O157:H7 was produced. E. coli O157: H7 lipopolysaccharide was extracted from locally isolated strains by using hot phenol- water method, followed by partial purification using gel filtration chromatography by sepharose- 4B. Number theorists believe that primes play a central role in Number theory and that solving problems related to primes could lead to the resolution of many other unsolved conjectures, including the prime k-tuples conjecture. This paper aims to demonstrate the existence of this conjecture for admissible k-tuples in a positive proportion. The authors achieved this by refining the methods of “Goldston, Pintz and Yildirim” and “James Maynard” for studying bounded gaps between primes and prime k-tuples. These refinements enabled to overcome the previous limitations and restrictions and to show that for a positive proportion of admissible k-tuples, there is the existence of the prime k-tuples conjecture holding for each “k”.
