It could be said that the essence of the “quota” is the state’s intervene as external power in bringing positive change for the benefit of the disadvantaged women and cultural minorities, and from the perspective that compensatory justice requires dealing differently with the different parties culturally and economically for the benefit of those deprived of them. Practicing of quotas merely, does not mean the full achievement of equality between cultural and sexual components in general, but it’s a big leap towards achieving this crucial goal, since the latter necessarily requires a range of legal and non-legal mechanisms aimed at empowering women and expanding their capabilities as a whole. On the other hand, in the absence of a

Toll-Like Receptor-4 Expression Level upon SARS-Cov2 Infection with and without Bacterial/Fungal Secondary and Co-Infection Among Iraqi Patients
...Show More Authors

Cytokine storms are an excessive immune response triggered by severe viral infections, such as SARS-CoV2. Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR-4) is a key player in these storms. Secondary and co-infections can exacerbate the immune response, leading to amplified cytokine release and potentially severe disease outcomes. This review aims to evaluate the expression of TLR-4 in fungal and bacterial infections that are associated with and secondary to SARS-CoV2. The study collected specimens from 70 patients admitted to a Baghdad hospital’s ICUs and 35 healthy controls, aged 15-80 years, from June 2022 to April 2023. Re¬al-time RT-PCR was used for infection detection, while conventional methods were used to isolate patho¬genic microorganisms a

Discrimination Reef and Non-Reef Environments, Using REE Geochemistry
...Show More Authors

This research aims to distinguish the reef environment from the non-reef environment. The Oligocene-Miocene-succussion in western Iraq was selected as a case study, represented by the reefal limestone facies of the Anah Formation (Late Oligocene) deposited in reef-back reef environments, dolomitic limestone of the Euphrates Formation (Early Miocene) deposited in open sea environments, and gypsiferous marly limestone of the Fatha Formation (Middle Miocene) deposited in a lagoonal environment. The content of the rare earth elements (REEs) (La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Er, Ho, Tm, Yb, Lu, and Y) in reef facies appear to be much lower than of those in the non-reef facies. The open sea facies have a low content of REEs due to bein

Unmasking Deepfakes Based on Deep Learning and Noise Residuals
...Show More Authors

The main reason for the emergence of a deepfake (deep learning and fake) term is the evolution in artificial intelligence techniques, especially deep learning. Deep learning algorithms, which auto-solve problems when giving large sets of data, are used to swap faces in digital media to create fake media with a realistic appearance. To increase the accuracy of distinguishing a real video from fake one, a new model has been developed based on deep learning and noise residuals. By using Steganalysis Rich Model (SRM) filters, we can gather a low-level noise map that is used as input to a light Convolution neural network (CNN) to classify a real face from fake one. The results of our work show that the training accuracy of the CNN model
