The goal of this research is to identify superstition that university students have in Libya and Iraq, with a comparison between the two. Furthermore, this research aims to identify significant differences in superstition among university students according to gender, study grade and study course.

The researcher explored the historical development of superstition and some explanatory theories of this human phenomenon. He also presented a number of previous foreign and Arab researches. He also designed a questionnaire on common superstitious ideas among university students in both Iraq and Libya.

The aim of this study is to clarify the relationship between the concept of  inconsistency and the measurement of the inverse relationship of overlap and contrast. The study will address the following points:

1. Explaining the true nature of inconsistency and contrast, as understanding their relationship is essential for determining them.
2. Examining the view of the scholars regarding their significance as approaches to understanding the relationship.

Phonetics has close relevance with Musicology; in this study I decided explaining the interlinkages and harmony between Phonetics and Musicology. Linguists preceded philosophers in an attempt to link Phonetics with Musicology; the 1st serious attempt to link Phonetics with Musicology was done by Ibn Jeny (Dead 392 IC), but the real attempt is found with Farabi through his book under title Al Musiqa Al Kabeer, he defined music and link it with tune and relation between melody and tone, This is the same as pointed out by Ikhwan Al Safa who followed the doctrine of al-Farabi, their attention was with music and link it with phoneme, as they made music independent science, and they created special mathematics rules for it. Melody in music can
