Experimental and Numerical Study Effect of Using Nanofluids in Perforated Plate Fin Heat Sink for Electronics Cooling
...Show More Authors

An experimental and numerical investigation of the effect of using two types of nanofluids with suspending of (Al2O3 and CuO) nanoparticles in deionized water with a volume fraction of (0.1% vol.), in addition to use three types of fin plate configurations of (smooth, perforated, and dimple plate) to study the heat transfer enhancement characteristics of commercial fin plate heat sink for cooling computer processing unit. All experimental tests under simulated conditions by using heat flux heater element with input power range of (5, 16, 35, 70, and 100 W). The experimental parameters calculated are such as water and nanofluid as coolant with Reynolds number of (7000, 8000, 9400 and 11300); the air is blown in the inlet duct across the heat sink with Reynolds number of (10500, 12300, 14200 and 16000). The distance fin-to-fin is kept constant at (2.00 mm), and the channel employed in this work has a square cross-section of (7 cm) inside. It was observed that the average effectiveness and Nusselt number of the nanofluids are higher compared with those of using conventional liquid cooling systems. However, the perforated fin plate showed higher air heat dissipation than the other configuration plate fin employed in this study. The experimental results were supported by numerical results which gave a good indication to heat transfer enhancement in studied ranges.

Enhancement of LBP-based face identification system by adopting preprocessing techniques
...Show More Authors

Face Identification system is an active research area in these years. However, the accuracy and its dependency in real life systems are still questionable. Earlier research in face identification systems demonstrated that LBP based face recognition systems are preferred than others and give adequate accuracy. It is robust against illumination changes and considered as a high-speed algorithm. Performance metrics for such systems are calculated from time delay and accuracy. This paper introduces an improved face recognition system that is build using C++ programming language with the help of OpenCV library. Accuracy can be increased if a filter or combinations of filters are applied to the images. The accuracy increases from 95.5% (without ap

Synthesis of the integer FIR filters with short coefficient word length
...Show More Authors

The integer simulation and development finite impulse response (FIR) filters taking into account the possibilities of their realization on digital integer platforms are considered. The problem statement and solution of multifunctional synthesis of digital FIR filters such a problem on the basis of the numerical methods of integer nonlinear mathematical programming are given. As an several examples, the problem solution of synthesis FIR-filters with short coefficient word length  has been given. The analysis of their characteristics is resulted. The paper discusses issues of modeling and synthesis of digital FIR filters with provision for the possibilities of their implementation on digital platforms with integer computation arithme

Evaluating the strategic performance of agricultural projects by adopting international indicators
...Show More Authors

The aim of this research is to test the relationship of influence and correlation between strategic performance and its five dimensions (financial dimension, after internal processes, after internal customer satisfaction, after learning and growth, environmental and social dimension), by adopting international indicators in agricultural projects To determine the extent of the differences between the research variable and its dimensions, and then try to come out with a number of recommendations that contribute to the evaluation of agricultural projects and their performance by diagnosing and treating deviations, and based on the importance of the research topic in agricultural institutions. Improvement of thermostable productivity ?-amylase from local isolate Bacillus licheniformis H14.
...Show More Authors

(28)Bacterial local isolates of Bacillus sp. were obtained from soil samples. Isolates were tested for thermostable alpha- amylase production on solid media; fifteen isolates were able to develop clear zone around the bacterial growth after floating the plates with iodine reagent (Lugol's solution). There were further tested in submerged culture which led to selection of Bacillus sp. H14since it was the most efficient .Microbial and biochemical tests showed that the local isolate Bacillus sp.H14was refered to the species B.licheniformis that signed as H14 was refered to the species B.licheniformis H14 .,To get ahigher yield of alpha – amylase(48.70unit/mg protein) production from the local isolate B.licheniformis H14 . A Stylistic Analysis of Two Selected Poems: تحليل اسلوبي لقصيدتين مختارتين
...Show More Authors

This paper presents a stylistic analysis of two poems of well-known poets of the English literature, namely; E.E. Cummings and the Irish noble laureate Seamus Heaney.  The researcher's attempt here is to approach Cummings’s poem “maggie and milly and molly and may” and Heaney’s “A Kite for Aibhín” from the stylistics’ point of view.  The paper also analyzes the poems using the tools of linguistics with a view to make their meaning explicit.

It is worth noting that stylistics as a scientific discipline is really beneficial to those who are teaching and studyi

Synthesis of New Cyclic Amines-Linked Metronidazole Derivatives as Possible Prodrugs
...Show More Authors

Certain cyclic amine derivatives of metronidazole via acetate spacer were prepared. Cyclic amines used are piperidine and piperazine to improve the physicochemical properties and reduce some of metronidazole side effects. This is believed to be done by modification of its structural features to get prodrugs with improved properties over that of metronidazole. The present work includes esterification of metronidazole with choroacetic acid, N-alkylation of the cyclic amines by the halogenated ester and characterization of their structures by spectral(UV and IR) and elemental(CHN)analysis. The melting points, degree of solubilities and partition coefficients were also determined. Both metronid

Formation of Compressive Residual Stress by Face Milling Steel AISI 1045
...Show More Authors

Abstract

Machining residual stresses correlate very closely with the cutting parameters and the tool geometries. This research work aims to investigate the effect of cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut on the surface residual stress of steel AISI 1045 after face milling operation. After each milling test, the residual stress on the surface of the workpiece was measured by using X-ray diffraction technique. Design of Experiment (DOE) software was employed using the response surface methodology (RSM) technique with a central composite rotatable design to build a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the input variables and the response. The results showed that both

Disney’s Girls: The Development of Persona from Snow White to Pocahontas
...Show More Authors

Through his female characters, Walt Disney was able to reflect the
development of the general outlook upon women in the Western world over a period
of sixty years.
This paper sheds light in how the cartoon characters changed in their reaction
to problems and means of solving them from the 30s through to the 90s of the
previous century. The main characters will be seen according to the films’ dates of
production and release.
