تبين من خلال البحث أن استخدام المسطحات الخضراء ستوفر طاقة كهربائية تعادل ٥٣ % مما يستهلكه السقف
الاعتيادي (بدون تغطية) بينما استخدام المسطحات المائية سيوفر ٣٨,٠ % مما يستهلكه السقف الاعتيادي وخلال فترة الصيف.
