Risk Assessment in BOT Contracts using AHP Technique
...Show More Authors

The process of risk assessment in the build-operate transfer (BOT) project is very important to identify and analyze the risks in order to make the appropriate decision to respond to them. In this paper, AHP Technique was used to make the appropriate decision regarding response to the most prominent risks that were generated in BOT projects, which includes a comparison between the criteria for each risk as well as the available alternatives and by mathematical methods using matrices to reach an appropriate decision to respond to each risk.Ten common risks in BOT contracts are adopted for analysis in this paper, which is grouped into six main risk headings. The procedures followed in this paper are the questionnaire method to assign the weights of each criterion and each alternative based on the evaluations of 10 experts in BOT contracts after building the questionnaire model. The appropriate decision was reached to respond to each risk, and then the best measures taken were made based on literature reviews of previous research regarding the procedures for risk response plans.

Our research comes to shed light on Iraqi literature as literature that arose in special circumstances alongside foreign literature. Using comparative research methods, we chose to highlight two distinguished writers, who have their mark in the world of literature. The first is the Iraqi writer Maysaloun Hadi, who is considered an icon of Iraqi feminist literature, and the second is the French writer Le Clézieu, who won the Nobel in 2008. We will see through the research how the two authors expressed their views of modernity and urbanism. And how each of them separately portrayed the psychological and moral projections that formed the essence of man today.

Elimination of Mixture of Dyes from Simulated Wastewater by Three-Dimentional Electro-Fenton Process: Utilising Alum Sludge as a Heterogeneous Fenton-Like Catalyst
...Show More Authors

As a result of industrial development, many types of waste are generated, some of which are discharged into water, causing water pollution and having a negative impact on life. The electro-Fenton process (EF) has verified high efficiency in treating pollutants with low cost, ease of handling and operation, and this technology is one of the more efficient advanced oxidation technologies. The main objective of this present work is to explore the efficiency of a three-dimensional Electro-Fenton system (3DEF) in removing eosin, methylene blue, and methylene violet from simulated wastewater using graphite as anode, nickel foam as the cathode, and alum sludge as the third particle and as the source of catalyst. The study investigated the effect o

Studies on solution – growth thin films of CdS : Zn for photovoltaic application
...Show More Authors

Structural, optical, and electrical properties of thin films of CdS : Zn prepared by the solution – growth technique are reported as a function of zinc concentration. CdS are window layers influencing the photovoltaic response of CIS solar cells. The zinc doping concentration was varied from 0.05 to 0.5 wt %, zinc doping apparently increase the band gap and lowers the resistivity. All beneficial optical properties of chemically deposited CdS thin films for application as window material in heterojunction optoelectronic devices are retained. Heat treatment in air at 400 °C for 1h modify crystalline structure, optical, and electrical properties of solution growth deposited CdS : Zn films.

Gas sensitivity properties of TiO2/Ag nanocomposite films prepared by pulse laser deposition
...Show More Authors

In this study, a double frequency Q-switching Nd:YAG laser beam (1064 nm and λ= 532 nm, repetition rate 6 Hz and the pulse duration 10ns) have been used, to deposit TiO2 pure and nanocomposites thin films with noble metal (Ag) at various concentration ratios of (0, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 wt.%) on glass and p-Si wafer (111) substrates using Pulse Laser Deposition (PLD) technique. Many growth parameters have been considered to specify the optimum condition, namely substrate temperature (300˚C), oxygen pressure (2.8×10-4 mbar), laser energy (700) mJ and the number of laser shots was 400 pulses with thickness of about 170 nm. The surface morphology of the thin films has been studied by using atomic force microscopes (AFM). The Root Mean Sq

Comprehensive Screening of Stabilizers and Solvents for Curcumin Nanosuspension
...Show More Authors

Poorly soluble drugs are often a challenge in product formulation. Generally, low aqueous solubility and poor bioavailability of drugs have restricted their application in various fields. Nanosuspensions enhance the solubility and bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs. Curcumin, a hydrophobic polyphenol, exhibits poor aqueous solubility (<1 μg/mL), and formulating it as nanosuspension can enhance its solubility. However, the optimal selection of preparation technique, solvent, stabilizer, and drug-to-stabilizer ratio is critical for formulation success for a successful formulation. This work aims to optimize the preparation process of Curcumin nanosuspension. In addition, it aims in screening of the effectiveness of different stabi
