Pharmacist Intervention to Address Drug Related Problems in Patients with Decompensated Liver Cirrhosis
...Show More Authors

Background: Patients with decompensated cirrhosis are often given therapeutic and prophylactic drugs. Polypharmacy raises both the likelihood of prescription errors and the complications associated with drugs. Clinical pharmacists are excellent at recognizing, addressing, and preventing clinically significant drug-related problems.

Objectives: Identification types of pharmacist interventions to address drug-related problems in patients with decompensated cirrhosis and assess the acceptance/implementation of these recommendations. And identify patient factors associated with accepting pharmacist recommendations.

Subjects and Methods: Prospective, interventional, clinical study for 80 hospitalized decompensated cirrhosis patients was conducted at Baghdad Teaching Hospital and lasted for four months, from the first of December 2021 until the last of March 2022. The study involved two phases, the first one was observational to identify drug-related problems and classify them according to the Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe classification version 9.1,   and the second phase was interventional to increase the awareness of patients and health care providers about those problems and to propose a proper solution for each one.

Results: The most frequent pharmacist intervention was proposed to the prescriber (54.7%), followed by speaking to the caregiver (37.7%). Acceptance and full implementation were highly observed in 71.1% of the intervention. There is a significant  association between occurring ascites and bleeding in patients and accepting/implementing pharmacist recommendations

Conclusions: Patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis have a significant prevalence of drug-related problems. Clinical pharmacists are excellent at recognizing drug-related problems and reducing their incidence, and their interventions were well accepted.

The letters are exposed in some texts of the classical Arabic language (poetry or prose), or in some of the Qur’anic texts, which are the main sources that were adopted on the day when provisions, rules and linguistic controls were established. I say that some of these letters are exposed in some contexts to deletion, mention, or change in the structure and shape of the letter. As for tools: a test of scientific thinking prepared by the researcher that proved its verification of their validity and reliability. The test applied on a random sample of (66) students, divided into two groups: (34) experimental, and (32) control. The results showed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in the post-application of the scientific thinking test, In each skill separately, and in the total skills. The Reality of the Use of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Education by Faculty Members of Scientific and Humanities Colleges at the University of Baghdad

Artificial intelligence (AI) aims to develop systems that achieve a level of intelligence similar to or surpassing human intelligence. AI applications are designed to mimic human cognitive behaviors, with the goal of embedding human knowledge into computers through what is known as knowledge bases. Computers can then use software tools to search these bases, perform comparisons, and conduct analyses to derive and infer the best solutions to various problems. This process resembles how humans solve new problems in their daily lives by relying on past experiences, predicting potential outcomes, and using reasoning skills to evaluate the best available solutions. This study investigates the current use of AI applications in education b

This research aims to study the radiation concentration distribution of the old District of Najaf (Iraq), where 15 samples were taken from featured sites in the District, which represents archaeological, religious, and heritage sites. Track detector CR-39 was used to calculate the concentration of three different soil weights for each sample site after being exposed for a month. Geographical information systems (GIS) were used to distribute the radioactive concentration on the sites of the samples, where two interpolation methods, namely the inverse distance weight method (IDW) and the triangle irregular network method (NIT), to study the distribution of the radioactivity concentration. The study showed that the western part of the district

COGNITIVE ELEMENTS AND CRITERIA OF THE INFLECTIONAL SYSTEM OF RUSSIAN AND ARABIC LANGUAGUES IN THE PROCCES OF VERBAL COMMUNICATION (COGNUTIVE ANALYSIS OF LANGUAGE STRUCTURE)
...Show More Authors

In this paper we study the selection of cognitive elements and criteria of the inflectional structure of the Russian and Arabic languages in the process of speech communication. Phonetic-physiological principle is the main parameter by which the elements and criteria of cognitive activity in the presented study are distinguished. On the basis of the above mentioned parameter, we select the investigated criteria and elements. The first criterion is semantic, reflects the accordance of the elements of thinking to sound combinations in the studied languages, and allows us to distinguish the second criterion – morphonological. The second criterion depends on the phonetic changes of these combinations occurring in the process of speech activit
