Comparative study of the renoprotective effects of captopril and aminophylline against cainst cisplatin – induced nephrotoxicty in rats

Background: Cisplatin is one of the most
commonly used anti-cancer drugs , but its
clinical use was limited by its nephrotoxicity .
Methods: In this study we try to investigate the
renoprotective effect of captopril and
aminophylline against cisplatin induced
nephrotoxicity .For this purpose a 36 Sprague
Dawley rats was divided randomly to 6 groups ,
each group consist of 6 rats. The first group
given normal saline and act as control group,
while the other 5 groups given cisplatin ( 7.5
mg/kg ) , captopril ( 60 mg/kg ) , aminophylline
( 24 mg/kg ) , captopril with cisplatin and
aminophylline with cisplatin respectively. All
drugs are given as single dose through
intraperitonial route. After 6 days blood urea
and serum creatinine, malondialdehyde and
glutathione are measured and compared with
control group.
Results: The data show that both captopril and
aminophylline posses renoprotective effect
against cisplatin – induced nephrotoxicity, also
the data show that captopril renoprotective
effect is more than that produced by
aminophylline.
Conclusions: This data can help in increase the
dose of cisplatin in clinical uses together with
use of renoprotective agent , specially if the
patient already need such renoprotective drugs
for treatment of disease a way from cisplatin as
hypertension .Also more clinical studies
required for more assessment of the clinical
pattern of this renoprotective effect

Recent Development-2 of CADTEL Software: The Optimum Conditions of Scherzer Imaging in the Electron Magnetic Lenses

CADTEL software was developed to provide the simplest and most versatile computing resource that a wide range of skilled researchers and designers can use.  In this paper, a development on this program, relying  on sixteen mathematical models, produced  a new version of CADTEL software package  which focuses on the optimum conditions of Scherzer imaging for round electron magnetic lenses.. These models depend on synthesis procedure which is mainly designed to work with the inverse design problem, and represent the axial magnetic flux density of desirable electron magnetic lens which can be proposed or selected ,  using the four (zero, low, high, infinite) magnification states.  The p

The The Dynamics of a Prey-Predator Model with Infectious Disease in Prey: Role of Media Coverage

In this paper, an eco-epidemiological model with media coverage effect is proposed and studied. A prey-predator model with modified Leslie-Gower and functional response is studied. An  -type of disease in prey is considered.  The existence, uniqueness and boundedness of the solution of the model are discussed. The local and global stability of this system are carried out. The conditions for the persistence of all species are established. The local bifurcation in the model is studied. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to illustrate the analytical results.

Cutoff Point Measurement of the waist circumference for the diagnosis of Metabolic Syndrome in Iraqi university students

Background: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a collection of connected cardiovascular risk factors that characterizes the complicated illness. The waist circumference cutoff point fluctuation has so far defined Mets. Objective: This study aimed to determine the cutoff point for WC in healthy Iraqi adults. Methods: This cross-sectional survey establishes the standard value for WC among 300 healthy university students in Wasit city, Iraq. They are aged between 18-25 years. The receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve was used WC to predict the presence of two or more risk factors for MetS, as defined by IDF. Results: The cutoff level yielding maximum sensitivity and specificity for predicting the presence of multiple risk factors was

The cluster analysis of most important citrus trees in some governorates of Iraq for the year 2019

Citrus fruits are one of the consumer agricultural products of the Iraqi citizen. It is rich in vitamins and usedin many food industries as well as medicines. Classifying the amount of production of citrus treesaccording to the producing governorates has been done to find a map that shows the production of citrustrees according to Iraqi governorates. A cluster analysis method was used according to the hierarchicalmethod. The results showed that Najaf and Qadisiyah are the most similar in citrus production, whileSaladin and Najaf were the two governorates with the furthest distance in proximity matrix. Diyalagovernorate was clustered in the first cluster within two, three, four or five of the clusters for classifyingIraqi governorates covere
