Organizational and behavioral determinants of health information system performance in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Background: Health information systems in most countries are inadequate in providing the needed management support and the current health information systems are therefore widely seen as management obstacles rather than as tools,Objectives: the current study is an attempt to assess the behavioral and organizational determinants of health information system performance in Iraq. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted by interviewed a total of 189 respondents selected from six Iraqi governorates. The Organizational and Behavioral Assessment Tool was used to measure the behavioral and organizational determinants of health information system performance, it is one of the PRISM package tools that are used to assess the health information system performance. Results: The overall mean confidence for Health information system tasks was 69.41%, while for tasks competence, it was 37.1% and that of motivation level was 43.4%. The totalscore of promoting a culture of information was 63.96% with department provide reward for a good work revealed a total percent of 56.83%.Conclusion: It can be concluded that overall mean confidence for Health information system tasks is generally high compared to a low competency level for Health information system tasks, with a negative motivation feeling among respondents. Keywords: Health information system, organizational and behavioral determinant, OBAT tool, culture of information.

Equilibrium, thermodynamic and kinetic study of the adsorption of a new mono azo dye onto natural Iraq clay
...Show More Authors

In the present work, bentonite clay was used as an adsorbent for the removal of a new prepared mono azo dye, 4-[6-bromo benzothiazolyl azo] thymol (BTAT) using batch adsorption method. The effect of many factors like adsorption time, adsorbent weight, initial BTAT concentration and temperature has been studied. The equilibrium adsorption data was described using Langmuir and frundlich adsorption isotherm. Based on kinetics study, it was found that the adsorption process follow pseudo second order kinetics. Thermodynamics data such as Gibbes Free energy ∆Gᵒ, entropy ∆Sᵒ and ∆Hᵒ were also determined using Vant Hoff plot.

Data Driven Approach for Predicting Pore Pressure of Oil and Gas Wells, Case Study of Iraq Southern Oilfields
...Show More Authors

Precise forecasting of pore pressures is crucial for efficiently planning and drilling oil and gas wells. It reduces expenses and saves time while preventing drilling complications. Since direct measurement of pore pressure in wellbores is costly and time-intensive, the ability to estimate it using empirical or machine learning models is beneficial. The present study aims to predict pore pressure using artificial neural network. The building and testing of artificial neural network are based on the data from five oil fields and several formations. The artificial neural network model is built using a measured dataset consisting of 77 data points of Pore pressure obtained from the modular formation dynamics tester. The input variables

Evaluation The Efficiency And Effectiveness of The Iraq stock Exchange -An Empirical Study From July 2004 to March 2008–
...Show More Authors

The aim of this study was to provide an overall assessment to the efficiency of the Iraq stocks exchanges (ISE) through specifying well –known models .First, Fama's efficient market hypothesis as a contrary concept to the random walk hypothesis, was performed and it has been found that ISE follows the random process, so the price of the shares can't be predicated on the basis of past information. Second,we use a multifactor model, which so named multiple regression, to explore the link between ISE  and the main economic indicators. our empirical analysis finds that every weak associations exists between major ISE measures and main economic indicators.

FIRST RECORD OF THE NORTH AFRICAN CATFISH CLARIAS GARIEPINUS (BURCHELL, 1822) (SILURIFORMES, CLARIIDAE) IN TIGRIS RIVER, IRAQ
...Show More Authors

The current study aimed to determine the morphometric and meristic characteristics of the North African catfish Clarias gariepinus (Burchell, 1822). Six specimens of C. gariepinus were collected from the Tigris River, in central Iraq. This study is considered the confirmation first record of this species in Iraq, and the second documentation of this exotic fish. The present species is characterized by a very long dorsal fin, a rounded caudal fin and four pairs of barbels.

Using Diatom Indices to Evaluate Water quality In Abu-Zirig Marsh Thi-Qar Province /south of Iraq
...Show More Authors

The study attempts to assess water quality in Abu-Zirig Marsh which used epiphytic Diatom community for assessing water quality. Many of Diatom indices {Trophic diatom index (TDI), Diatom index (DI), Generic diatom index (GDI) have been used to give qualitative information about the status of the freshwater ecosystem(good, moderate, high pollution). In this study, the epiphytic diatoms on both host aquatic plants Phragmites australis and Typha domengensis were collected from Abu-Zirig Marsh within Thi-Qar Province at three sites in Autumn, 2018 and winter, 2019. Epiphytic diatoms were Identified by the preparation of permanent slides method, some species of epiphytic diatom showed dominance such as Cyclotella menegh

Biostratigraphy of the Late Cretaceous-Early Paleocene Succession in Selected Wells, Jambur Oil field, Kirkuk, Northern Iraq
...Show More Authors

The Late Cretaceous-Early Paleocene Shiranish and Aliji formations have been studied in three selected wells in Jambur Oil Field (Ja-50, Ja-53, and Ja-67) in Kirkuk, Northeastern Iraq. This study included lithostratigraphy and biostratigraphy. The Late Campanian-Maastrichtian Shiranish Formation consist mainly of thin marly and chalky limestone beds overlain by thin marl beds, with some beds of marly limestone representing an outer shelf basinal environment, the unconformable contact with the above Middle Paleocene-Early Eocene Aliji Formation contain layers of limestone with marly limestone and chalky limestone which represents an outer shelf basinal environment. Five Biozones in the Shiranish Formation were determined which are: 1

Study on Frequency of Hard Tick Isolated from Goat (<i>Capra hircus</i> Linnaeus, 1758) in Iraq
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>In Iraq, the domestic goat Capra hircus is valued as a valuable commercial resource. As obligatory ectoparasites, ixodid ticks cause significant harm to their animal hosts. Hard ticks parasitize the abdomen, inside limbs, ears, and head. Out of a total of 200 samples evaluated, 150 goat- infested samples had a total of 450 Hard ticks (303male and 147 female) and were infested at a rate of 75%. The results of the current research eight species of hard ticks were recognized. Goat species belonging to the family Ixodidae (Capra hircus: Linnaeus, 1758), obtained from distinct areas involving: the Iraqi capital Baghdad governorate [Al-Yusifiya], Al-Anbar governor</p> ...
