Background: Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is used in denture fabrication and considered as the most reliable material for the construction of removable prosthodontic appliances. The material is far from ideal in fulfilling the mechanical requirements and the effect of autoclave processing has not been fully determined. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of addition of salinized (ZrO2) Nano fillers in percentages 3%, 5% and 7% by weight on some properties of heat cured acrylic processed the by autoclave and compare it with 0% (control) group . Materials and methods: The silanized(ZrO2) Nano-particles was added to PMMA powder by weight in three different percentages 3%, 5% and 7%, mixed by probe ultra-sonication machine.

In this study, we investigated the effect of Bromocresol green dye (BCG) of the PMMA thin films optical properties. Films of Poly Methyl Methacrylate doped by 10% BCG doping ratio to prepared two concentrations 2x10^-4 and 6x10^-4 M of PMMA-BCG dye were deposited on glass substrate using free casting method at room temperature. The optical properties of the films were determined using UV-Visible absorbance and transmittance spectra at the 300 - 900 nm wavelength range. Semiconductor-based gas sensors were prepared, that use n-type tin oxide (SnO₂) and  tin oxide: zinc oxide composite (SnO₂)_1-x(ZnO)_x at different x ratios using pulse laser deposition at room temperature. The prepared thin films were examined to reach the optimum conditions for gas sensing applications, namely X-ray diffraction, Hall effect measurements, and direct current conductivity.
