The Nano compound (Ba1-xSrxTiO3) as (X=0,0.26,0.28,0.30,0.32,0.34) was synthesized by using sol-gel method, the structural properties of result compound were studied by using xray diffraction test (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). the results were exhibited and by using software indexing to x-ray diffraction pattern that all prepared samples possess tetragonal phase and there is not any other phases were existed. also the substitution process didn't change the phase of compound and increase in (Sr+2) ion concentration leads to decrease lattice parameters (a,c) then the unite cell volume was decreased, as the particle size calculated from Debye-Scherrer and Williamson-Hall equations , and the calculated density from x-ray diffraction spectrum exhibited they were decreased with increase of (Sr+2) ion concentration, and scanning electron microscope pictures showed that prepared particles take a shape-like spherical shape.
In this study Microwave and conventional methods have been used to extract and estimate pectin and its degree of esterification from dried grapefruit and orange peels. Acidified solution water with nitric acid in pH (1.5) was used. In conventional method, different temperature degrees for extraction pectin from grape fruit and orange(85 ,90 , 95 and 100?C) for 1 h were used The results showed grapefruit peels contained 12.82, 17.05, 18.47, 15.89% respectively, while the corresponding values were 5.96, 6.74, 7.41 and 8.00 %, respectively in orange peels. Iraqi grapefruit ( Citrus paradisi, family Rutaceae) flavonoids were investigated qualitatively and quantitatively. The total isolated flavonoids from seeds and peel were 3.6 mg and 12.53 mg respectively in each gram of powder. The antimicrobial activity of aqueous extracts and total isolated flavonoids from seeds and peel were assessed against strains of Gram positive bacteria( Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis), Gram negative bacteria( Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and yeast( Candida albicans). The aqueous extracts lacked antimicrobial activity against all bacteria and yeast, while the total flavonoids showed a moderate inhibitory effect against test bacteria and yeast. The present study is concerned with studying the effect of aquatic plant Hydrella vorticellata with the concentration of 10 and 20 gm/2 K gm soil on percentage and growth rate of germinating seeds of Hordeum vulgare and Vicia faba.
