In this study, the bacteria from sputum specimens of patients with respiratory tract infections were isolated in IbnSina Teaching Hospital, Mosul city, Iraq. The bacteria were subjected to phenotypic and biochemical tests necessary for identification. Twenty five isolates of six different bacterial species were obtained, they are : Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumonia, Moraxella cattarhalis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pnuemoniae and Pseudomona saeruginosa with ratios (64%, 12%, 8%, 8%, 4% and 4% ) respectively. The sensitivity and resistance of these isolates to 12 antibiotic were studied, where the Gentamycin appear to be more effective on most of the isolates while all the isolates showed resistance to Nalidixic acid with 100% percent . Also, Plasmid DNA content showed different sizes of DNA bands in four types of these isolates.

... Show MoreThe effect of doping by methyl red and methyl blue on the absorption spectra and the optical energy gap of poly (methyl methacrylat) PMMA film have been studied. The optical transmission (T%) in the wavelength range 190-900 nm for films deposited by using solvent casting method were measured. The Absorptance data reveals that the doping affected the absorption edge as a red and blue shift in its values. The films show indirect allowed interband transitions that influenced by the doping. Optical constants; refractive index, extinction coefficient and real and imaginary part of dielectric constant were calculated and correlated with doping.
Thin films of pure tin mono-sulfide SnS with thicknesses of (0.85) μm were prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique and annealed for two hours with 673K.The effect of annealing on structural and optical properties for films prepared was studied. This paper investigate a sensorless speed control of a separately excited dc motor fed from a buck type dc-dc converter. The control system is designed in digital technique by using a two dimension look-up table. The performance of the drive system was evaluated by digital simulation using Simulink toolbox of Matlab.
