For the purpose of studying the effect of the quality of food on the growth and reproduction of crustaceans the type of Cyclops scutifer were used which ranked as the first record in Iraq and the test was bred and classification. To find out the effect of the quality of food on this type it has been selected three groups of food. The first group was chlorophyll, the second group was chlorophyll with Paramecium and the third group was chlorophyll with larvae of mosquitoes in its early stages. After collections the results and conduct statistical test (F test), the results found that the quality of food had great influence on the growth of animals and productivity the impact was clear on the stages of growth and transition from one stages to another, and the number of eggs and the time between its lap and the continuation of life and preparation.
The species Cyclops varicans G.O.Sars (Which was recorded for the first time in Iraq ) was chossen to study the effect of photoperiods on the species reproduction growth . The chossen photoperiods were 0:24 , 12: 12 , and 24 : 0 L.D. The data showed obvious statistical effect of photoperiods specially 24 : 0 L.D. on the mean of clutch size , produced eggs , no. of nauplei , transformation time of nauplius I to copepodid I and transformation time of copepodid I to adult stage . The aim of this research was to indicate the opinion of the Iraqi consumer about the quality and safety of local food products, the questionnaire was included 19 questions for product quality, price, distribution and promotion as a tool to survey the opinions of 128 consumers in Baghdad, the data was analyzed by using percentage, weighted mean, and weight percent, the results obtained showed that the Iraqi consumer prefer local food products for their high quality and appropriate price, however they need attention to packaging, promotion and distribution.
The present study deals with the effect of acute exposure of different salt concentrations of NaCl on male and female of IU.FOBRJMOPNARJ, which belongs to Class Copepoda, Order Cyclopoida by calculating lethal concentration killing 50% (LC50), lethal concentration killing 100% (LC100) and safe concentration (LC0). For the first time, the life cycle of Neoechinorhynchus iraqensis, a parasite of Liza abu and other freshwater fishes in Iraq and its larval development in the intermediate host, the copepod Cyclops hyalinus was given. Hatching took place in the intestine of the copepod host within 10 minutes of exposure to the infective eggs. Motile acanthor penetrated the wall of the intestine within 2-4 hr. after exposure and was found free in the hemocoel where it metamorphoses through the acanthella stage.
