The experiment was condncted in greenhouse of Botanical Garden at Biology Garden Dept,College of Education for Pure Science (Ibn-Al-Haitham),University of Baghdad , during the growing season 2013-2014 to study the role of salcylic acid in three concentrations (0.12and24) ppm and two levels of NPKZn fertilizer ( 0. 160) kg.H‾1 and four concentrations of sodium chloride (0.50.100and150) Mmol and the intreaction between salcylic acid and NPKZn on some of morphological parameters of Allium cepa. The experiment was performed with random compelete block design (RCBD)with three replications and the results showed the following 1-The sparying of salcylic acid led to aignificant increase in all parameters compared with control treatment . 2-Treatment with two levels of NPKZn fertilizer caused a significant increase in all parameters 3-The interaction between salcylic acid and NPKZn fertilizer led to increase all parameters and the treated plants with 24 ppm showed the highest influence.
The gamma camera, along with SPECT and PET scanners, is one of the main imaging technologies in nuclear medicine. A collimator is typically constructed from tungsten to provide high absorption of gamma photon energies. It has a hole or holes for imaging. Gamma rays from a radioactive source within the body are emitted in all directions, while the photons required constructing an image travel through the hole. A scintillator is the most common material used to convert the high energy of gamma radiation into a lowenergy optical photon. These detectors are one of the primary secrets to radio-diagnosis in nuclear medicine. The photomultiplier tube (PMT) is a versatile device with extraordinarily highly sensitivity and response. A typical photom
... Show MoreTo investigate the relationship between increased lipid peroxidation, and the lowering of both plasma total proteins and albumin in lead-exposed workers, and the effectiveness of antioxidants (vit. C and E) in modulating oxidative stress in those workers.
Thirty male and females workers employed in the Iraqi storage battery (age range 20-40 years) were participating in this study. Additionally, 11 healthy subjects were served as healthy controls, with the same age range compared to workers group, to avoid the effects of age variations on the studied parameters. Blood lead levels, erythrocytes and plasma MDA, erythrocytes and plasma GSH, total protein and albumin levels in healthy controls and lead-exposed workers pre- and post-tr

The coumarin derivatives was alkylated by the ethyl bromoacetate and then using potassium carbonate to get alkylated hymecromone. Conventional solution method for amide bond formation was used as a coupling method between the carboxy-protected amino acids with acetic acid side chain of coumarin derivatives. The DCC/ HOBt coupling reagents were used for peptide bond formation. The proposed analogues were successfully synthesized and their structural formulas were consistent with the proposed struct
... Show MoreCoupling reaction of 4-amino antipyrene with 4-amino benzoic acid gave bidentate azo ligand. The prepared ligand was identified by Microelemental Analysis, 1HNMR, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. Treatment of the prepared ligand with the following metal ions (CoII, NiII, CuII and ZnII) in aqueous ethanol with a 1:2 M:L ratio and at optimum pH, yielded a series of neutral complexes of the general formula [M(L)2]Cl2 . The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, (C.H.N) Analysis, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. Chloride ion content was also evaluated by (Mohr method). The nature of the complexes formed were studied following the mol

Escherichia coli were isolated percentage 70.49% while Klebsiella pneumoniae and Psendomonas aeruginosa were 8.19% and 6.55%, respectively.Proteus spp. Were isolated from 9 (14.75%), P. mirablis and P. vulgaris were isolates percentage 11.47% and 3.27%, respectively. Uroepithelial Cell Adhesin (UCA) fimbriae expression by P.mirabilis isolates was detected by the high capacity to adhesion to human uroepithetial cells, the isolate p.mirabilis U7 was adhesion to human uroepithelial cells mean no.30.2 bacteria/cell when grown on luria broth at 37C for 24h, but then grown it’s on luria agar at 37C for 24h the adhesion
