The Approximation Solution of a Nonlinear Parabolic Boundary Value Problem Via Galerkin Finite Elements Method with Crank-Nicolson

This paper deals with finding the approximation solution of a nonlinear parabolic boundary value problem (NLPBVP) by using the Galekin finite element method (GFEM) in space and Crank Nicolson (CN) scheme in time, the problem then reduce to solve a Galerkin nonlinear algebraic system(GNLAS). The predictor and the corrector technique (PCT) is applied here to solve the GNLAS, by transforms it to a Galerkin linear algebraic system (GLAS). This GLAS is solved once using the Cholesky method (CHM) as it appear in the matlab package and once again using the Cholesky reduction order technique (CHROT) which we employ it here to save a massive time. The results, for CHROT are given by tables and figures and show the efficiency of this method, from other sides we conclude that the both methods are given the same results, but the CHROT is very fast than the CHM.

Mixed Implicit Galerkin – Frank Wolf, Gradient and Gradient Projection Methods for Solving Classical Optimal Control Problem Governed by Variable Coefficients, Linear Hyperbolic, Boundary Value Problem

This paper deals with testing a numerical solution for the discrete classical optimal control problem governed by a linear hyperbolic boundary value problem with variable coefficients. When the discrete classical control is fixed, the proof of the existence and uniqueness theorem for the discrete solution of the discrete weak form is achieved. The existence theorem for the discrete classical optimal control and the necessary conditions for optimality of the problem are proved under suitable assumptions. The discrete classical optimal control problem (DCOCP) is solved by using the mixed Galerkin finite element method to find the solution of the discrete weak form (discrete state). Also, it is used to find the solution for the discrete adj

Extension of the Chebyshev Method of Quassi-Linear Parabolic P.D.E.S With Mixed Boundary Conditions

The researcher [1-10] proposed a method for computing the numerical solution to quasi-linear parabolic p.d.e.s using a Chebyshev method. The purpose of this paper is to extend the method to problems with mixed boundary conditions. An error analysis for the linear problem is given and a global element Chebyshev method is described. A comparison of various chebyshev methods is made by applying them to two-point eigenproblems. It is shown by analysis and numerical examples that the approach used to derive the generalized Chebyshev method is comparable, in terms of the accuracy obtained, with existing Chebyshev methods.

Existence of Positive Solution for Boundary Value Problems

This paper studies the existence of  positive solutions for the following boundary value problem :-

 y(b) 0 α y(a) - β y(a) 0     bta             f(y) g(t) λy    

The solution procedure follows using the Fixed point theorem and obtains that this problem has at least one positive solution .Also,it determines (  ) Eigenvalue which would be needed to find the positive solution .

Unsteady nonlinear panel method with mixed boundary conditions

A new panel method had been developed to account for unsteady nonlinear subsonic flow. Two boundary conditions were used to solve the potential flow about complex configurations of airplanes. Dirichlet boundary condition and Neumann formulation are frequently applied to the configurations that have thick and thin surfaces respectively. Mixed boundary conditions were used in the present work to simulate the connection between thick fuselage and thin wing surfaces. The matrix of linear equations was solved every time step in a marching technique with Kelvin's theorem for the unsteady wake modeling. To make the method closer to the experimental data, a Nonlinear stripe theory which is based on a two-dimensional viscous-inviscid interac

Solvability for Optimal Classical Continuous Control Problem Controlling by Quaternary Hyperbolic Boundary Value Problem

This work is concerned with studying the solvability for optimal classical continuous control quaternary vector problem that controls by quaternary linear hyperbolic boundary value problem. The existence of the unique quaternary state vector solution for the quaternary linear hyperbolic boundary value problem  is studied and demonstrated by employing the method of Galerkin, where the classical continuous control quaternary vector  is Known. Also, the existence theorem of an optimal classical continuous control quaternary vector related to the quaternary linear hyperbolic boundary value problem is demonstrated. The existence of a unique solution to the adjoint quaternary linear hyperbolic boundary value problem a

Solving Two-Points Singular Boundary Value Problem Using Hermite Interpolation

In this paper, we have been used the Hermite interpolation method to solve second order regular boundary value problems for singular ordinary differential equations. The suggest method applied after divided the domain into many subdomains then used Hermite interpolation on each subdomain, the solution of the equation is equal to summation of the solution in each subdomain. Finally, we gave many examples to illustrate the suggested method and its efficiency.

Numerical Solutions for the Optimal Control Governing by Variable Coefficients Nonlinear Hyperbolic Boundary Value Problem Using the Gradient Projection, Gradient and Frank Wolfe Methods

This paper is concerned with studying the numerical solution for the discrete classical optimal control problem (NSDCOCP) governed by a variable coefficients nonlinear hyperbolic boundary value problem (VCNLHBVP). The DSCOCP is solved by using the Galerkin finite element method (GFEM) for the space variable and implicit finite difference scheme (GFEM-IFDS) for the time variable to get the NS for the discrete weak form (DWF) and for the discrete adjoint weak form (DSAWF) While, the gradient projection method (GRPM), also called the gradient method (GRM), or the Frank Wolfe method (FRM) are used to minimize the discrete cost function (DCF) to find the DSCOC. Within these three methods, the Armijo step option (ARMSO) or the optimal step opt
