Solvent- free thermal heating, one-pot condensation of acetophenone, ethyl cyanoacetate or malononitrle and substituted Aromatic aldehyde, ammonium acetate give, 2oxo-3-cyano-4-substituted Aryl-6-phenyl pyridine [I]a-h , or 2-amino-3-cyano-4-substituted Aryl-6-phenyl pyridine derivatives[II]a-f , respectively. Treatment of compounds 2-oxo-3-cyano-4-substituted Aryl-6-phenyl pyridine with phosphorous penta sulphide (P2S5), give 2-thioxo-3-cyano-4-substituted Aryl-6-phenyl pyridine derivatives[III]a-c . All prepared compounds are characterized by, C.H.N.S-elmental analysis, melting points, FTIR-and1H-NMR-spectral analysis . Antibacterial examination of synthesized compounds [I]a-c , [II]a-c and [III]a-c against five types of, (G-) and (G+) bacterial . in comparison with common antibiotic like Ampicillin, Amoxicilin and Lincomycin the result shows 2-thioxo-3-cyano-4-substituted Aryl-6-phenyl pyridine derivatives are more reactive than 2-oxo-3-cyano pyridine derivatives or 2-amino-3-cyano pyridine derivatives .
This study included the collecting of 390 gland toxicity of the Red Wasp Vespa orientalis and 418 gland toxicity of yellow wasp Polistes olivaceaus from different areas of Baghdad city. It was classified depending on taxonomic keys in order to diagnose and identify the general characteristics of each species, and then extract gland toxicity to get poison. The poison was purified by gel filtration throw Sephacryl S-200 obtain three peaks of proteins. The oxidative degradation of Orange G dye by nanosized CeO2 catalyst has been performed in this study. The catalyst was prepared by precipitation method. Various characterization techniques were carried out to study the physical and chemical properties of the synthesized catalyst. The XRD result confirms well the formation of CeO2 cubic phase. The FTIR result showed the effect of calcination temperature for CeO2 was clearly observed due to reduction in band intensity compared to uncalcined Ce nitrate sample. Six Bifidobacterium isolates, isolated from breast – feed infant faces on reduced de Man Rogosa and Sharp medium (MRS - C). Isolates identified to species level on the basis of : microscopical properties, biochemical tests, fructose-6-phosphate phosphoketolase enzyme(F6PPK) activity and carbohydrates fermentation profile. The practical side of this study was to produce no-fine aggregate concrete by using crushed clay brick aggregates. The durability of the produced concrete and internal sulfate attack was studied. For durability assessment, it is found that the no-fine concrete made with crushed brick aggregate lost about (15-25) % of its compressive strength after being subjected to 60 cycles of wetting and drying with age 120 days.
