Background: Native chest Computed Tomography (CT) is a quick, non-invasive and practical investigation & plays an important role in evaluation of Coronavirus Disease 2019.

Objective: to describe the chest CT findings in patients with confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in sample from Baghdad population.

Patients & methods: Study sample consisted of 55 patients with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 from 1^st March through 15^th April 2020. Native chest CT was performed in radiology departments in Medical City Teaching Complex (MCTH). The chest CT images were reviewed & analyzed.

An active, accurate, and simple dual-axis tracking system was designed by using an Arduino Uno microprocessor. The system consisted of two sections: software and apparatus (hardware). There are many respiratory diseases like chronic bronchitis, bronchial carcinoma and emphysema which are related to chronic tobacco smoking.Objectives: To study the effect of tobacco smoking on the respiratory system, to establish a correlation between chronic tobacco smoking and its effects on the parameters which were studied and to create awareness in tobacco smokers about the effects of tobacco on their healthMethod: In this study 100 male subjects, 50 chronic smokers and 50 non- smokers were assessed for their pulmonary function tests by using a computerized spirometer.Results: Almost all their respiratory parameters were significantly reduced.

     The aim of this research is to study the effects of the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) on the temperature and precipitation patterns in Baghdad city. Data of the monthly means of the NAO index,the monthlymeans of temperature, and the monthly total of precipitation were analyzed for the period 1900-2008. Non-parametric tests were used to investigate the correlations between these variables. The time series of temperature and precipitation showed no trends. The results indicated that is a slight correlation between the NAO and temperature and precipitation suggesting that NAO has no major effects on the temperature and precipitation patterns in Baghdad city.
