A potentiostatic study for the corrosion of pure zinc in 0.01 M HCl was achieved in absence and presence of (linear alkylbenzene solfonate LAS) detergents in a range of concentrations (0-50) mg/L. The electrochemical studies included anodic, cathodic polarization by using potentiostat over temperature rang (293- 323) K.     The mechanism of corrosion rate of pure zinc was suggested by evaluating of αa , αc , ba , bc , i0 , Rp and the kinetic parameters also calculated ( Ea , A) at the above temperature rang, The thermodynamic of corrosion, corrosion accelerating and corrosion  protecting were investigated by calculating  (∆G, ∆H and ∆s) values

In this study, polymeric coating was developed by incorporating nano graphene in the polymer blend with applications to oil storage tanks. The oil storage tanks samples were brought from the oil Pipeline Company / Doura refinery in Baghdad. The coating polymer was formed with a blend (epoxy resin and repcoat ZR). The proportion of mixing the mixture was 3:1:1 epoxy resin 21.06 gm: repcoat ZR 10.53 gm: hardener 10.53 gm. This formula was derived depending on some experimental data of transmittance spectrum versus wavelengths for many ambient temperatures. An experiment was carried out by using post in kalar horticulture Station/Sulaimania province on soil taked from once region sields during growing season of 2008-2009. The objective was to study adding increasing levels of urea fertilizer which is (0.0, 0.20, 0.40, 0.80) gm/Pot and superphosphate fertilizer which is (0.0, 0.24, 0.48) gm/pot in some chemical properties of grain for wheat IPA 95. This experiment was carried out by completely randomized design (CR D) with three replications. Results in dictated of clear increase in all the studied characteristics (concentration for each nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and carbohydrate percentage with increasing levels of fertilizers).

High performance self-consolidating concrete HP-SCC is one of the most complex types of concrete which have the capacity to consolidated under its own weight, have excellent homogeneity and high durability. This study aims to focus on the possibility of using industrial by-products like Silica fumes SF in the preparation of HP-SCC enhanced with discrete steel fibers (DSF) and monofilament polypropylene fibers (PPF). From experimental results, it was found that using DSF with volume fraction of 0.50 %; a highly improvements were gained in the mechanical properties of HP-SCC. The compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength and elastic modulus improved about 65.7 %, 70.5 %, 41.7 % and 80.3 % at 28 days age, respectively
