Evaluating Quality of Control Policies and Procedures for Banking Transactions Using the Non-application Gap Model to Enhance Financial Reporting Requirements Applied Study in an Iraqi Private Bank

The research aims to enhance the level of evaluation of the performance of banking transactions control policies and procedures. The research is based on the following hypothesis: efficient transactions control policies and procedures contribute enhancing financial reporting, by assessing non-application gap of those policies and procedures in a manner that helps to prevent, discover, and correct material misstatementsThe researchers designed an examination list that includes the control policies and procedures related to the transactions, as a guide to the bank audit program prepared by the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau. The research methodology is designed to evaluate control policies and procedures of banking transactions, by adopting the non-application gap approach and its impact on the quality of financial reporting. Application and full documentation of control policies and procedures for eight transactions, discussed in this paper, have a positive reflection on the quality of the accounting information reported in the financial reports, while the reflection will be negative in case of non-application. Weaknesses of bank policies and procedures for eight transactions were analyzed, namely: fortified chamber, cashier, deposits, saving, current account, foreign currencies sale, loan transactions, and non-current assets. Importance of this paper is to explain the effect of deficiencies in fulfilling transactions control policies and procedures on financial reporting.

Finite element analysis of seepage for Kongele earth dam Using Geo- Studio software
Abstract<p>Seepage occurs under or inside structures or in the place, where they come into contact with the sides under the influence of pressure caused by the difference in water level in the structure U / S and D / S. This paper is designed to model seepage analysis for Kongele (an earth dam) due to its importance in providing water for agricultural projects and supporting Tourism sector. For this purpose, analysis was carried out to study seepage through the dam under various conditions. Using the finite element method by computer program (Geo-Studio) the dam was analysed in its actual design using the SEEP / W 2018 program. Several analyses were performed to study the seepage across Kongele </p> ... Show More

Some Applications of Quasi-Subordination for Bi-Univalent Functions Using Jackson’s Convolution Operator

In this paper, subclasses of  the function class  ∑  of analytic and bi-univalent functions associated with operator  L_q^(k,  λ)  are introduced and defined in the open unit disk △ by applying quasi-subordination. We obtain some results about the corresponding bound estimations of the coefficients  a_(2 )  and a_(3 ).

Finite Element Analysis of Seepage for Hemrin Earth Dam Using Geo-Studio Software

Finite Element Approach is employed in this research work to solve the governing differential equations related to seepage via its foundation's dam structure. The primary focus for this reason is the discretization of domain into finite elements through the placement of imaginary nodal points and the discretization of governing equations into an equation system; An equation for each nodal point or part, and unknown variables are solved. The SEEP / W software (program) is a sub-program of the Geo-Studio software, which is used by porous soil media to compensate for the problems of seepage. To achieve the research goals, a study was carried out on Hemrin dam, which located in the Diyala River 100 km northeast of Baghdad, Iraq. Thus, o

Calculation of Full Energy Peak Efficiency for HPGe Detector Using Monte Carlo Method

This research presents results on the full energy peak efficiency of a high purity germanium (HPGe) detector from point source as a function of photon energy and source-detector distance. The directions of photons emitted from the source and the photon path lengths in the detector were determined by Monte Carlo technique. A major advantage of this technique is the short computation time compared to the experiments. Another advantage is the flexibility for inputting detector-related parameters (such as source–detector distance, detector radius, length and attenuation coefficient) into the algorithm developed, thus making it an easy and flexible method to apply to other detector systems and configurations. It has been designed and writte

Approximation Solutions for System of Linear Fredhom Integral Equations by Using Decomposition Method

In this paper, the Decomposition method was used to find approximation solutions for a system of linear Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. In this method the solution of a functional equations is considered as the sum of an infinite series usually converging to the solution, and Adomian decomposition method for solving linear and nonlinear integral equations. Finally, numerical examples are prepared to illustrate these considerations.

Analytical Approach for Load Capacity of Large Diameter Bored Piles Using Field Data

An analytical approach based on field data was used to determine the strength capacity of large diameter bored type piles. Also the deformations and settlements were evaluated for both vertical and lateral loadings. The analytical predictions are compared to field data obtained from a proto-type test pile used at Tharthar –Tigris canal Bridge. They were found to be with acceptable agreement of 12% deviation.

Following ASTM standards D1143M-07e1,2010, a test schedule of five loading cycles were proposed for vertical loads and series of cyclic loads to simulate horizontal loading .The load test results and analytical data of 1.95

Experimental Evaluation of Evaporative Cooling for Enhancing Photovoltaic Panels Efficiency Using Underground Water

This paper presents an experimental study of cooling photovoltaic (PV) panels using evaporative cooling. Underground (geothermal energy) water used to extract heat from it during cooling and cleaning of PV panels. An experimental test rig was constructed and tested under hot and dusty climate conditions in Baghdad. An active cooling system was used with auxiliary an underground water tank to provide cold water as a coolant over both PV surfaces to reduce its temperature. The cellulose pad has been arranged on the back surface and sprays cooling on the front side. Two identical PV panels modules used: without cooling and evaporative water cooling. The experiments are comprised of four cases: Case (I): backside cooling, Ca

Preparing polycaprolactone scaffolds using electrospinning technique for construction of artificial periodontal ligament tissue

Objectives The strategies of tissue-engineering led to the development of living cell-based therapies to repair lost or damaged tissues, including periodontal ligament and to construct biohybrid implant. This work aimed to isolate human periodontal ligament stem cells (hPDLSCs) and implant them on fabricated polycaprolactone (PCL) for the regeneration of natural periodontal ligament (PDL) tissues. Methods hPDLSCs were harvested from extracted human premolars, cultured, and expanded to obtain PDL cells. A PDL-specific marker (periostin) was detected using an immunofluorescent assay. Electrospinning was applied to fabricate PCL at three concentrations (13%, 16%, and 20% weight/volume) in two forms, which were examined through field emission

Spectrophotometric Method for Determination of Cu(II) Using a New Schiff Base Ligand

The Cu(II) was found using a quick and uncomplicated procedure that involved reacting it with a freshly synthesized ligand to create an orange complex that had an absorbance peak of 481.5 nm in an acidic solution. The best conditions for the formation of the complex were studied from the concentration of the ligand, medium, the eff ect of the addition sequence, the eff ect of temperature, and the time of complex formation. The results obtained are scatter plot extending from 0.1–9 ppm and a linear range from 0.1–7 ppm. Relative standard deviation (RSD%) for n = 8 is less than 0.5, recovery % (R%) within acceptable values, correlation coeffi cient (r) equal 0.9986, coeffi cient of determination (r2) equal to 0.9973, and percentage capita

Implementation of K-Nearest Neighbors Algorithm for Predicting Heart Disease Using Python Flask

Heart disease is a non-communicable disease and the number 1 cause of death in Indonesia. According to WHO predictions, heart disease will cause 11 million deaths in 2020. Bad lifestyle and unhealthy consumption patterns of modern society are the causes of this disease experienced by many people. Lack of knowledge about heart conditions and the potential dangers cause heart disease attacks before any preventive measures are taken. This study aims to produce a system for Predicting Heart Disease, which benefits to prevent and reduce the number of deaths caused by heart disease. The use of technology in the health sector has been widely practiced in various places and one of the advanced technologies is machine lea
