Some Estimation methods for the two models SPSEM and SPSAR for spatially dependent data
...Show More Authors

ABSTRUCT

In This Paper, some semi- parametric spatial models were estimated, these models are, the semi – parametric spatial error model (SPSEM), which suffer from the problem of spatial errors dependence, and the semi – parametric spatial auto regressive model (SPSAR). Where the method of maximum likelihood was used in estimating the parameter of spatial error          ( λ ) in the model (SPSEM), estimated  the parameter of spatial dependence ( ρ ) in the model ( SPSAR ), and using the non-parametric method in estimating the smoothing function m(x) for these two models, these non-parametric methods are; the local linear estimator (LLE) which require finding the smooth parameter ( h ) according to the cross validation criterion ( CV ), the Local linear two step estimator  after removing the effect of the spatial errors dependence , once using variance- covariance spatial matrix of errors ( Ω )using kernel function(LLEK2) and other through the use of variance- covariance spatial matrix of errors ( Ω* ) using cubic B-Spline estimator (LLECS2), to remove the effect of the spatial errors dependence, also the Local linear two step estimator using Suggested kernel estimator, once using variance- covariance spatial matrix of errors using kernel estimator (SUGK2), and other through the use of variance- covariance spatial matrix of errors using cubic B-Spline estimator (SUGCS2) to removing the effect of the spatial errors dependence.

From the simulation experiment, with a frequency of 1000 times, for three sample sizes, three levels of variance, for two model, and Calculate the matrix of distances between the sites of the observations through the Euclidean distance, the two estimated methods mentioned above were used to estimate (SPSEM) and (SPSAR) models, using the spatial Neighborhoods matrix modified under the Rook Neighboring criteria. Comparing these methods using mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) turns out that the best method for the SPSEM) model is (SUGCS2) method, and for (SPSAR) model is (LLECS2) method.

Comparative Histopathological Study of Ciprofloxacin Impact on Mus Musculus Renal Cortex Infected with Multi-drug Resistance and Susceptible Uropathogenic Escherichia Coli
...Show More Authors

Urinary tract infections are mainly caused by uropathogenic Escherichia coli, which represent a significant global issue along with the rising of antibiotic resistance and treatment challenges. The aim of this study was to evaluate ciprofloxacin efficacy as a treatment in animal models following infection with multidrug-resistant UPEC and multidrug-susceptible UPEC and to determine the nephrotoxic effect of these antibiotics on the renal cortex. Up to 76 E. coli isolates were collected from UTI patients in Baghdad province, characterized by morphological and biochemical features, and confirmed using the Vitek-2 compact system. Mice were orally infected via gastric gavage with G33 using a bacterial load of 107 cells/ml, followed by p

Association of IL-1β gene promoter polymorphisms and serum levels with etanercept response in Iraqi patients with moderate to severe psoriasis
...Show More Authors

Psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory dermatological condition, exhibits heterogeneous responses to anti-TNF therapies such as etanercept (ETN), underscoring the need for predictive biomarkers. This study investigated the association of interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) gene promoter polymorphisms (rs1143623 C/G, rs752338864 C/G, and rs1143627 C/T) with ETN efficacy in 80 Iraqi patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. Patients were categorized according to treatment response: responders achieved ≥ 75% reduction in the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI), whereas non-responders demonstrated ≤ 50% reduction. Post-treatment serum IL-1β levels were significantly higher in non-responders (50.35 ± 15.81 pg/mL) compared to respo

Evaluation of Gas and Downhole Water Sink-Assisted Gravity Drainage GDWS-AGD Process in Saturated Oil Reservoirs with Infinite-Acting Aquifer
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>A hybrid Gas-Enhanced and Downhole Water Sink-Assisted Gravity Drainage (GDWS-AGD) process has been suggested to enhance oil recovery by placing vertical injectors for CO2 at the top of the reservoir with a series of horizontal oil-producing and water-drainage wells located above and below the oil-water contact, respectively. The injected gas builds a gas cap that drives the oil to the (upper) oil-producing wells while the bottom water-drainage wells control water cresting. The hybrid process of GDWS-AGD process has been first developed and tested in vertical wells to minimize water cut in reservoirs with bottom water drive and strong water coning tendencies. The wells were dual-compl</p> ... Show More

Histological and immunohistochemical study of thyroid gland in Caucasian squirrel (Sciurus anamalus) (Gmelin, 1778) by using marker (Anti-Thyroglobulin, Code IR5090)
...Show More Authors

The current study is designed to investigate the histological and immunohistochemical characteristics of the thyroid gland in adult male Sciurus anamalus. This study found that the thyroid gland of the Caucasian squirrel is located in the neck area, below the larynx, on both sides of the trachea. It has two lobes (right and left) with cylindrical shape. The histological studies revealed that the thyroid gland is surrounded by a capsule which consists of connective tissue and forming of two layers which are outer layer and inner layer, and a layer of adipose tissue appears overlapping the outer layer. The inner tissue of the gland consists of follicles with different shapes and sizes, and is lined with simple cuboidal epithelial tissue (foll

Performance evolution of a hybrid thermal solar air conditioning system and compare it with a traditional system according to Iraq weather
...Show More Authors

In a hybrid cooling solar thermal systems , a solar collector is used to convert solar energy into heat energy in order to super heat the refrigerant leaving the compressor, and this process helps in the transformation of refrigerant state from gaseous state to the liquid state in upper two-thirds of the condenser instead of the lower two-thirds such as in the traditional air-conditioning systems and this will reduce the energy needed to run the process of cooling .In this research two systems with a capacity of 2 tons each were used, a hybrid air-conditioning system with an evacuated tubes solar collector and a traditional air-conditioning system . The refrigerant of each type was R22.The comparison was in the amou
