((Requirements for raising the efficiency and development of rail transport in Iraq according to proposed scenarios))

Abstract:

 The research concerned the study of the railway transport sector in selected countries that sought to raise the efficiency of the railway network and develop it, after realizing the importance of this vital sector, which is a link between it and the rest of the other economic sectors.

The research sought to explain the methods, methods and procedures adopted by these countries for the development of the railway sector, and to benefit from these experiments to improve the efficiency of the railway transport sector in Iraq.

The railway transport sector in Iraq suffers from the erosion of railway lines and mobile units such as locomotives, passenger cars and cargo trucks, as well as other complementary services from stations, shops and entertainment that attract passengers, all of which led to a decline in the efficiency of this sector and the reluctance of most passengers and owners Goods to hold that mode of transport.

   The two researchers tried to develop some of the proposed scenarios to try to develop the railway and raise its efficiency according to the experiences of the selected countries that have restructured the railways in the search. To improve the level of production and upgrade the services provided to passengers and goods, and raise the volume of demand for rail transport service in Iraq

An analytical model was described and used as a new computational procedure based on the softened truss model (STM) to predict the torsional behavior of RC beams strengthened with FRP.     This paper aims to study the effect of circular Y-shaped fin arrangement to improve the low thermal response rates of a double-tube heat exchanger containing Paraffin phase change material (PCM). ANSYS software is employed to perform the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations of the heat exchanger, including fluid flow, heat transfer, and the phase change process. The optimum state of the fin configuration is derived through sensitivity analysis by evaluating the geometrical parameters of the Y-shaped fin.
