The effects of root exudates of two sunflower cultivars (Shumoose and Sin
Altheeb) were studied on companion weeds during the growing season of 2012.
Results showed the ability of both cultivars to affect weed population and growth
with the superiority of cultivar Shumoose in suppression of weed density at 60 and
120 days after sowing compared to Sin Altheeb. Weed biomass was significantly
reduced up to 90 and 71% by Shumoose and Sin Altheeb cultivars, respectively.

more suppression to weeds than Sin Altheeb giving additional evidence for the

0.025, 0.050, 0.075, and 0.1) were prepared successfully. Thin films
were deposited by thermal evaporation on glass substrates at film
thickness (126) nm. The optical measurements indicated that

The visible absorption bands at 527, 558 and 362 nm in propylene carbonate and the compound was found to be fluorescent in solution and in the plastic film with emission wavelengths between 550- 750 nm. The Stokes Shift of P.C., acetonitrile, diethyl ether, Tetrahydrofuran THF, cyclohexane, dibutyl ether, and dichloromethane DCM  are 734, 836, 668, 601, 601, 719, and 804 cm^-1 in respectively. The present research was carried out to assess the toxic effect of oral administration of the aqueous extract of Nerium oleander leaves and flowers daily at doses of (25) mg/kg body weight for four weeks in mice.
