Evaluation of health and safety management systemAccording to international standards OHSAS 18001: 2007A case study at Al-Mamoun Factory / General Company for vegetable oil industry

This research aims to knowledge of the scope of applying the international specification of which is regarded to occupational health and safety management system (OHSAS 18001) second edition for year 2007 by The AL-Mammon Factory / The General Company For Vegetable Oils Industry in order to diagnosis the gap between specification requirements and reality by using the checklist made based upon the items of the specification, after translating the English copy into Arabic. The results of the research and analysis that occupational health and safety management system in comparison to the specification requirements in all of its main items, which was (%22.26) applied and documented partly, this refer to the existence of great gap (%77.74) in attaining occupational health and safety management system requirements.

Effect of 1,3-Oxazepine Derivative on Alkaline Phosphatase and Lactate Dehydrogenase Activity in Healthy Iraqi Females Serum

Background: Heterocyclic compounds and its derivatives have biological activities and used as analgesic, anti-helminthic, antituberculer, antifungal, antiviral, anticancer and inhibitor of some enzymes. Oxazepine (benzodiazepine) derivative used in relief of psychoneuroses characterized by anxiety and tension. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) hydrolyzes phosphate monoesters, while Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) catalyses oxidation of L-lactate to pyruvate utilizing NAD+
Objective: The study was carried out to know of the impact of 1,3-oxazepine derivative on the ALP and LDH enzyme activity on human serum in vitro.
Methods: The study included the effect of synthesized 1,3-oxazepine divertive [(Z)-3-(5-mercapto-1-3,4-Thiadizol-2-yl)-2-(4-nitr

Nonlinear Optical Properties of PMMA Composites Using Z-Scan Technique

The nonlinear refractive index and the nonlinear absorption coefficient of unmodified and functional poly(methyl methacrylate) PMMA films were studied before and after the addition of the filler by the z-scan technique, using a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at two wavelengths: 532 nm and 1064 nm, and at three input energies (13, 33 and 53) mJ. Both linear and nonlinear refractive indices and absorption coefficients of polymer films were studied by using UV-VIS spectrophotometer. The results show that the creation of functional PMMA from unmodified PMMA will increase the nonlinear optical properties in the functional PMMA/copper matrix more than in the unmodified PMMA/copper matrix. Hence, the functional PMMA appears promising as a useful third

Traffic Simulation of Urban Street to Estimate Capacity

This research aimed to develop a simulation traffic model for an urban street with heterogeneous traffic capable of analyzing different types of vehicles of static and dynamic characteristics based on trajectory analysis that demonstrated psychophysical driver behavior. The base developed model for urban traffic was performed based on the collected field data for the major urban street in Baghdad city. The parameter; CC1 minimum headway (represented the speed-dependent of the safety distance from stop line that the driver desired) justified in the range from (2.86sec) to (2.17 sec) indicated a good match to reflect the actual traffic behavior for urban traffic streets. A good indication of the convergence between simulat

Wheat response to increase levels of Urea fertilizer

Pots experiment was conducted in the green house of Biology Department, College of Education ( Ibn-AL-Haithum), University of Baghdad , during the growing season of 2005-2006 , to study the effect of five levels of urea fertilizer (0,50,100,150and 200) mg/pot in on vegetative growth of one wheat cultivar (Adanania) upon randomized complete block design with four replications. The results showed that significant difference between urea fertilizer levels above in vegetative growth characteristics ( plant height , leaf area , chlorophyll content, dry matter weight , relative efficiency and relative yield ) It was also showed that 200 mg/pot level was superior to urea fertilizer levels others in above charac

Pictures of neighboring countries to the Iraqi public

the mental image is so important in human life as one of the major standers for his trends and behavior, and as the human nature requires to interest in things based on how much it’s close to and how much it effects on his interest, So the neighborhood countries was one  of the topics that occupied the attention of the Iraqi individual and pushed him to form perceptions of them based on the cultural heritage and the historical relations of Iraq with these countries as well as the actions of neighboring countries on Iraq and the resulting effects on the course of events. the mental image is so important in human life as one of the major standers for his trends and behavior, and as the human nature requires to interest in things bas

Effect of Successive Convolution Layers to Detect Gender

Image classification can be defined as one of the most important tasks in the area of machine learning. Recently, deep neural networks, especially deep convolution networks, have participated greatly in end-to-end learning which reduce need for human designed features in the image recognition like Convolution Neural Network. It is offers the computation models which are made up of several processing layers for learning data representations with several abstraction levels. In this work, a pre-trained deep CNN is utilized according to some parameters like filter size, no of convolution, pooling, fully connected and type of activation function which includes 300 images for training and predict 100 image gender using probability measures. Biotransformation of patulin to hydroascladiol by Lactobacillus plantarum

Growth of Penicillium expansum, an ubiquitous mould found in stored fruit globallyt, was significantly restricted by exposure to 48 h cell-free supernatant of two strains of Lactobacillus plantarum (p < 0.001). In addition, the biotransformation of patulin, a toxic secondary metabolite formed by P. expansum, on exposure to L. plantarum cells and cell-free supernatant highlights the potential of this GRAS microbe as a biocontrol agent. Up to 80% of patulin was biotransformed following a 4 h incubation with 1010 cells ml−1 (37 °C) forming E- and Z-ascladiol. The formation of these products was more pronounced at elevated pH and cell density. Exposure to cell free supernatant or sonicated cells resulted in complete patulin biotransformation

Existence And Controllability Results For Fractional Control Systems In Reflexive Banach Spaces Using Fixed Point Theorem

In this paper, a fixed point theorem of nonexpansive mapping is established to study the existence and sufficient conditions for the controllability of nonlinear fractional control systems in reflexive Banach spaces. The result so obtained have been modified and developed in arbitrary space having Opial’s condition by using fixed point theorem deals with nonexpansive mapping defined on a set has normal structure. An application is provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained result.
