Using the Nudge Theory in Improving Security Policies and Crime Prevention: Integrative Review
...Show More Authors

The "Nudge" Theory is considered one of the most recent theories, which is clear in the economic, health, and educational sectors, due to the intensity of studies on it and its applications, but it has not yet been included in crime prevention studies. The use of  Nudge theory appears to enrich the theory in the field of crime prevention, and to provide modern, effective, and implementable mechanisms.

The study deals with the "integrative review" approach, which is a distinctive form of research that generates new knowledge on a topic through reviewing, criticizing, and synthesizing representative literature on the topic in an integrated manner so that new frameworks and perspectives are created around it.

The study is based on the literature of behavioral economics, with a focus on three basic and recent theories: nudges, fast and slow thinking, and chaos bias. All of them confirm that the ordinary person acts spontaneously, and makes his daily decisions according to what is available, without thinking and contemplation. Thus, they bear characteristics that the security researcher can employ in preventing crime and designing security policies.

Many of the results of studies using poke and behavioral economics theories in crime prevention emphasized the reduction of crime rates, and yielded positive results in preventing crime, rather than combating it, especially in the field of urban planning, shop design, afforestation, lighting, and paving of streets, which encourages the turnout of individuals to it and causes a natural social interaction that prevents the criminal from being motivated to commit his crime.

The study recommends giving more attention to studies about uses of the nudge theory, developing the design of security policies in crime prevention, and supporting modern security studies and security policy studies.

New Studies for Topological Generalizations and Uncertainty in Graph Theory
...Show More Authors

Topology and its applications occupy the interest of many researching centers in the advanced world. From this point of view and because the near open sets play a very important role in general topology and they are now the research topics of many topologists worldwide and its sets doesn’t enter in fibrewise topology yet. Therefore, we use some of the near open sets to be model for introduce results and new spaces in fibrewise topological spaces. Also, there is a very important role of closure operators in constructing a topological spaces, so we introduce a new closure operators on the power set of vertices on graphs and conclusion theorems and new spaces from it. Furthermore, we discuss the relationships of connectedness between some ty

Abstract As the United Nations approaches its 70th anniversary, the world is going through the most severe accumulation of serious international security failures in recent memory, challenging the UN Security Council’s ability to address them effectively. Over the past four years, crises in Libya, Syria and Ukraine have precipitated a worrisome erosion of great power relations that has complicated Security Council decision making on a number of trouble spots. Its inability to devise consensus responses to the escalating civil war in Syria has been particularly troubling, resulting in the regional spill over into Iraq and the emergence of Islamic State as a new threat to peace in the region and beyond. Meanwhile, the UN’s often under

Utilizing the modern technologies in agriculture such as subsurface water retention techniques were developed to improve water storage capacities in the root zone depth. Moreover, this technique was maximizing the reduction in irrigation losses and increasing the water use efficiency. In this paper, a polyethylene membrane was installed within the root zone of okra crop through the spring growing season 2017 inside the greenhouse to improve water use efficiency and water productivity of okra crop. The research work was conducted in the field located in the north of Babylon Governorate in Sadat Al Hindiya Township seventy-eight kilometers from Baghdad city. Three treatments plots were used for the comparison using surface

We see human societies differ from one society to another in organizing social life, and each according to the foundations and rules prepared by the main thing in the welfare and prosperity.
That is why we see eastern societies differ from western societies in many patterns and various ways of reaching that sophistication, until Islam came and gave the proper model in raising society at that time to the best and highest social levels, because it is based on heavenly rules and foundations and not status as in previous civilizations.
And when the Islamic community has
