Applications of contemporary feminist theory and its role in international relations (Singapore as a Model)
...Show More Authors

Since the emergence of the science of international relations as an independent academic scientific field,  various theories and trends have appeared and have tried to understand and explain the international reality and give a clear picture of what is happening within the international system of interactions and influences and the search for tools for stability and peace in international relations. Among these theories is the feminist theory, which is a new intellectual trend on the level of international relations theories,  which tried to give an explanation of what is happening in world politics and in international relations in particular. The main issue that feminist theory is concerned with is the lack of women’s subordination to men or their dominance over women, given that women and the matters related to them are different, low and of less value than men, especially reducing their role in making decision. The Oxford Dictionary defines feminist theory as the recognition of women's rights and equal opportunities to men at various levels of scientific and practical life.

The demand for women’s rights began in the first founding conference held in Paris in 1892, the most important of which are the rights to education, the right to vote, and to have a role in decision-making. During the leadership of countries whose role has increased recently until the number of countries ruled by women reached more than (16) countries, their rule witnessed distinguished leadership at all levels,  especially in managing the crisis of the Covid 19 epidemic,; it encouraged the pioneers of feminist theory to provide the advantages of feminist leadership that achieve political, economic and social stability, thus achieving international peace, security and stability of international relations. The existence of wars and instability is due to the patriarchal world and the presence of men in decision-making and the best solution is the leadership of women who have proven their success in wisdom such as (Germany, Croatia, New Zealand,  Singapore .... and others). This research takes Singapore as a model and it will focus on the Singaporean experience in the leadership of women represented by Mrs. Halima Yaqoub, a Muslim woman of Indian origin who won the election in 2017 and became the eighth president of Singapore without entering an electoral race as no one is nominated with her. The Southeast Asian country is considered the fourth largest financial center in the world and one of the richest countries in the region and the most stable country politically.

EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF A DOUBLE PASS SOLAR AIR HEATER PROVIDED WITH POROUS ABSORBER PLATE FOR DRYING APPLICATIONS
...Show More Authors

This investigation integrates experimental and numerical approaches to study a novel solar air heater aimed at achieving an efficient design for a solar collector suitable for drying applications under the meteorological conditions of Iraq. The importance of this investigation stems from the lack of optimal exploitation of solar energy reaching the solar collector, primarily attributable to elevated thermal losses despite numerous designs employed in such solar systems. Consequently, enhancing the thermal performance of solar collectors, particularly those employed in crop drying applications, stands as a crucial focal point for researchers within this domain. Two identical double-pass solar air heaters were designed and constructed for

“They’ve damaged your uniqueness”: Technology as a Source of Dystopia in Caryl Churchill’s A Number
...Show More Authors

This study focuses on the impact of technology on creating a dystopian world as presented by the English playwright Caryl Churchill in her play A Number (2002). This dramatic work came as a reaction to the most crucial and valuable turning point in the scientific achievements of human engineering, namely, the cloning of the sheep called Dolly. Therefore, A Number is a play that presents an analytical stage for imagining the biotechnological and scientific future. This dramatic vignette captures the playwright’s fears towards the abnormal progress of technology and science and how far such technological progress affects human relationships and identity. It also portrays how technological progress results in the feeling of a lack of

Anti CD20 Monoclonal Antibody (Rituximab) as a Rescue Treatment in Severe and Refractory SLE
...Show More Authors

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease with polymorphic expression. B cells have an essential contribution in immune system activation via the production of different cytokines and functioning as potent antigen-presenting cells. Therefore, a drug that particularly targets B cells may represent an ideal therapeutic approach for SLE. Rituximab (RTX), an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody causing transient B-cell depletion, has been used to manage SLE. This study aims to assess Rituximab effects on lupus nephritis (LN) patients when added to conventional immunosuppressants. Twenty four patients, 15-32 years old, with class III/IV/V LN were involved in this study. All were on steroids before lupus nephritis occurrence. They were

Serum fibulin-3 as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in patients with knee osteoarthritis
...Show More Authors

Background Osteoarthritis is a chronic degenerative disorder with rising prevalence. Early detection of structural damage is difficult. Consequently, there is a pressing demand for reliable biomarkers that enable an earlier diagnosis of osteoarthritis. The aim is to investigate the level of serum fibulin-3 in patients with primary knee osteoarthritis and its correlation with disease severity. Subjects and methods A case–control study was conducted at the Baqubah Teaching Hospital from November 2023 to January 2024. One hundred twenty persons participated in this study (eighty females with the diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis in its early and late stages, and forty age-matched, apparently healthy control. Serum fibulin-3, ESR, CRP, and cal
