Analyse der Hauptgestalten in Wielands Roman Geschichte des Agathon
...Show More Authors

A fixed point result in menger probabilistic b-partial metric space with an application
...Show More Authors

In this article, the concept of Menger probabilistic b-partial metric spaces (or random partial b-metric spaces) are recalled and some concerning triangle functions. In the framework of such spaces, a (b, ψ, λ)-admissible and type of (b, ψ, λ Contractive mappings are presented in this space to prove a new general fixed point theorem in that special sense. Finally, it has been enhanced by applying it to solve a delay Volterra integral equation in C[a, b], as a complete Menger probabilistic b-partial metric space.

Collagen Degradation and Prolidase Activity and Relation to Mineral Homeostasis in Iraqi Vitiligo Patients
...Show More Authors

Vitiligo is a common depigmenting skin disorder classified as an autoimmune ailment. It is linked to immune mechanisms, oxidative stress, and disturbances in the cellular environment. Among the factors contributing to histological changes, proteolytic enzymes such as collagenase stand out, due to their role in degrading components of the extracellular matrix. Prolidase is a key enzyme in collagen metabolism, involved in the breakdown of proline-rich peptides. Objective: This study aims to investigate the mechanism of collagen decline in Iraqi vitiligo patients, prolidase activity and basic homeostasis to understand their roles in disease progression. This study was conducted as a cross-sectional comparative study, and 150 p

AI-Driven Auditing and Customer Experience in Global Audit Firms Towards Enhancing Digital Trust
...Show More Authors

This chapter explores artificial intelligence (AI) auditing and its role in enhancing customer experience and building trust, reliability, and credibility in the digital marketing environment. It emphasizes the adoption and implementation of practices by global and international auditing firms such as Deloitte, PwC, Ernst & Young, and KPMG. The chapter employs a systematic review of academic literature and professional reports, analyzing studies related to AI applications in customer experience, algorithmic auditing practices, and AI governance frameworks. However, the chapter's findings reveal a research gap: the limited integration of AI auditing and customer experience in current literature. The chapter concludes by proposing

Detection and Mineralization of Organic Pollutants in Mesopotamian Marsh Water Using a Batch Bioreactor
...Show More Authors
Introduction

This study investigated the detection and mineralization of organic pollutants in the Mesopotamian marshes.

Methods

Over the course of seven days of treatment, a batch bioreactor system and natural microbial communities from marsh sediments were able to break down contaminants in a remarkable way.

Results

Water samples collected from five distinct marsh locations revea

Spatiotemporal patterns of bifacial and monofacial photovoltaic energy potential in an arid climate zone
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Climate change significantly affects photovoltaic (PV) energy potential in arid regions. This study quantifies climate change impacts on both monofacial and bifacial PV energy potential across Iraq using Community Climate System Model (CCSM4) projections under Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios spanning 2020–2100. Specific mathematical frameworks accounting for thermal and irradiance characteristics were applied across 18 representative regions covering Iraq’s diverse climatic zones, with bifacial systems modeled using dual-surface irradiance capture incorporating ground reflection and thermal dynamics. Results reveal distinct northwest–southe
... Show More

Local Scale Displacement Fields in Grains–Structure Interactions Under Cyclic Loading: Experiments and Simulations
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Soils encounter cyclic loading conditions in situ, for example during the earthquakes and in the construction sequences of pavements. Investigations on the local scale displacements of the soil grain and their failure patterns under the cyclic loading conditions are relatively scarce in the literature. In this study, the local displacement fields of a dense sand layer interacting with a rigid footing under the plane-strain condition are examined using both experiments and simulations. Three commonly used types of cyclic loading conditions were applied on the footing. Digital particle image velocimetry (DPIV) is used to measure the local scale displacement fields in the soil, and to understand the ev
... Show More

A Soil-Pile Response under Coupled Static-Dynamic Loadings in Terms of Kinematic Interaction
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Although the axial aptitude and pile load transfer under static loading have been extensively documented, the dynamic axial reaction, on the other hand, requires further investigation. During a seismic event, the pile load applied may increase, while the soil load carrying capacity may decrease due to the shaking, resulting in additional settlement. The researchers concentrated their efforts on determining the cause of extensive damage to the piles after the seismic event. Such failures were linked to discontinuities in the subsoil due to abrupt differences in soil stiffness, and so actions were called kinematic impact of the earthquake on piles depending on the outcomes of laboratory
... Frankincense Extract as Eco-Friendly Corrosion Inhibitor for Carbon Steel in 1M HCl Solution
...Show More Authors

Steel corrosion in acidic environments is a critical industrial challenge, necessitating effective yet eco-friendly inhibitors. This study aims to address this problem by introducing a novel, green alternative: frankincense extract (FE). The distinctive contribution of this work lies in the comprehensive investigation of FE natural, sustainable, and economically viable resin as an effective corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in 1 M HCl. The research employs an integrated methodology, including electrochemical techniques (potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)), adsorption isotherm modeling, surface analysis (FT-IR and FESEM/EDX), and density functional theory (DFT) calculations.
