Expectation in poetry is the ability of the poet to exceed the existence of the universe . It is the revealing of the hidden and the familiar. This feature of expecting is not related to the modern poetry only . It is a well - known feature that has long been assigned to old poetry like Al-Mutannabi an Al-Mu`arri who had their own unique ways of expecting and going beyond the current time and touching the future and making it a reality. Based on their awareness ,mature thinking and talent , they had the ability of reading what is to come ,even if they were mere suppositions and tentative readings. As for the modern poetry , we have poets like Amal Dunqil , Adonis ,and Al-Sayyab whose poems became expectations to the future.In addition to Mahmoud Darwish whose poems are the example of expectation in poetry , especially in his book ( Why did you leave the horse alone) which is more a reading for the future than a book of poems . His book is rich with culture , intuition , rich visions of the future . The eloquence and the images in this book turn to be a reading tool that harness all the possibilities to a better reading for the future ; a better expectation.

Furfural is one of the one of pollutants in refinery industrial wastewaters. In this study advanced oxidation process using UV/H2O2 was investigated for furfural degradation in synthetic wastewater. The results from the experimental work showed that the degradation of furfural decreases as its concentration increases, reaching 100% at 50mg/l furfural concentration and increasing the concentration of H2O2 from 250 to 500 mg/l increased furfural removal from 40 to 60%.The degradation of furfural reached 100% after 90 min exposure time using two UV lamps, where it reached 60% using one lamp after 240 min exposure time. Show MoreThe inhibitor property of curcuma longa L. extract in different concentrations of simulated refinery wastewater (0.05% - 2% wt) and at various temperatures (30, 35 and 40 ˚C) was investigated using weight loss method. The results showed that the presence of about 1.2 % (v/v) of curcuma extract gave about 84% inhibition indicating its effectiveness on mild steel corrosion in simulated refinery wastewater, besides the adsorption process on the mild steal surface obeyed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm.
