Five types of network were used to find the effect of the variation in the discharge and the node elevation on the best location. The most weakness point was determined for each network. Preliminary tank locations were chosen for test along the primary pipe with same interval distance. Different numbers of elements per column length have been used to assess the rate of convergence for the model. The problem of internal sulfate attack in concrete is widespread in Iraq and neighboring countries.This is because of the high sulfate content usually present in sand and gravel used in it. In the present study the total effective sulfate in concrete was used to calculate the optimum SO3 content. The effect of both shear deformation and the coupling between axial force and the bending moment are considered in the derivation of stiffness matrix.
