The formulations and the properties of the Zinc Polycarboxylate Dental Cements are reviewed then new cements of this type are prepared with modified solid part of the cement. High silica glass powder with different particle sizes is prepared and added with different weight percentages to the zinc oxide. The liquid part of the prepared cements was merely 44% concentration of the polyacrylic acid. Accordingly, the usual and expensive additives to the liquid and solid part of the cement are eliminated. The dried leaves of Nile rose plant were used as adsorbents safranin-O from aqueous solution after different activations such as wet and dry enhancements. The data show increasing in dye solution removal percentage for both activation methods of the adsorbent and also dye removal percentage that was obtained by using adsorbent without any treatment with the progress contact time. Adsorption experiments were carried out using two different low-cost sorbent materials, date seeds and olive seeds. These sorbents used as a single phase (not as mixture) to remove cadmium ions from simulated wastewater by adsorption process. The equilibrium time was found at 2 hr. different amount of lead oxide content. Structure properties such as
X-ray diffraction, AFM, and FTIR analyses have been done. The
exceeding of PbO content more than 25wt% revealed a decreasing in
density. The X- ray revealed that the strongest peak related to
Hexagonal silica dioxide and the other crystal phases formed were
