Dr. Ahmed Matloob's terminological study
...Show More Authors

This research paper aims to unveil a fertile and vivid aspect, which is one of the many aspects of the multiple linguistic concern of the deceased professor Ahmed Matloob, mercy be upon him; that is the terminological study aspect. For in spite of the abundance of literature written about various directions of  his rhetorical, literary, critical, and linguistic activities, and in spite of the illumination, variation, and abundance of his terminological study, I could not find a research study that includes or investigates all his theoretical and applied efforts in this field. Therefore, I decided to achieve this task, first for the sake of knowledge, and second to return back to the deceased some of our indebtedness to him.

Radiological age estimation using third molars mineralization in a sample attending orthodontic clinics (A retrospective study)
...Show More Authors

Background: The evaluation of the chronological age is a practical method in crime investigation field that assists in identifying individuals to treat them as underage or adult. This study aimed to assess the stages of third molars mineralization in relation to chronological age of Iraqi individuals, determine the gender differences and arches (maxillary/mandibular) differences.

Materials and Methods: A total of 300 orthopantomograms of orthodontic patients were collected according to specific criteria and evaluated visually. The developmental stages of maxillary and mandibular third molars were determined according to Demirjian method. T

Histomorphometric analysis of bone deposition at Ti implant surface dip-coated with hydroxyapatite (In vivo study)
...Show More Authors

Background: Synthetic hydroxyapatite,(Ca10(PO4)6(OH2) can directly bond to bones without infection and fibrous encapsulation, thus is regarded as bioactive and biocompatible. The aim of the study was the estimation of microarchitecture bone parameters include bone mass (gm/cm2) cortical bone width (mm), thread width (mm), marrow space star volume analysis (V*m) and osteoblast, osteocyte cell number. Materials and methods: Ninety-six (96) commercially pure titanium CpTi) used in this study, (48) implants were coated with HA by dipping coating and (48) implants were used as control. They were inserted in (32) Newzland white rabbits and followed for 2 & 6 weeks. Mechanical torque removal test and histomorphometric analysis of bone microarchit

Experimental Study of the Thermal Performance of Flat Plate Solar Collectors Array by Different Connection Configurations
...Show More Authors

The current research illustrates experimentally the effect of series and parallel connection (Z-I Configurations) of flat plate water solar collectors array on the thermal performance of closed loop solar heating system. The study includes the effect of changing the water flow rate on the thermal efficiency. The results show that, the collector's efficiency in series connection is higher than the parallel connection within flow rate level less than (100) ℓ/hr. Moreover, the collector efficiency in parallel connection of (I-Configurations) is more than the (Z- Configurations) with increasing the water flow rate .The maximum daily efficiency for parallel (I-Configurations) and (Z- Configurations) are (55%) and (51%) at w

The Legal Regime of Mandatory Mediation as a Means of Dispute Resolution – A Comparative Analytical Study
...Show More Authors

The mediation system is based on settling the dispute amicably through the intervention of a third party by bringing views closer away from the judiciary, which is an amicable way to settle disputes, which disputants resort to voluntarily, but some Western legislation has begun to impose resorting to mediation to settle disputes compulsorily, to take advantage of its advantages, get rid of the disadvantages of resorting to the judiciary in some disputes, and relieve pressure on the courts.
