Ceremony in Waleed Awni's Dramatic Shows
...Show More Authors

The modern dramatic forms used technical works represented by going back to the primitive origins of drama which participated in establishing it. Those employments were results of philosophical thoughts through which many scholars stimulated philosophical tendencies call for miss for the past and going back to the social life through which intimate relations are interacting. The most important thing that the scholars relied on was ceremony as a social phenomenon which people gather around it through sentimental communication relate their concerns in addition to considering it as an expressive style carries artistic characteristics can be benefitted of in the dramatic show.
These thoughts were represented in the performing activity of the pioneers of modern drama, those who violated the traditional construction of the shows and contributed in building their shows based on ceremonial practices which associate the body expression with dramatic dance, Antony Arto in particular, Jerzi, Grotovsky, Peter Brook and others). These employments received its echoes in the shows of the Lebanese director Waleed Awni who adopted the dancing ceremonies in constituting the picture of the show

In vitro anticancer efficiency of vitex negundo extracts
...Show More Authors

Background. Vitex negundo is a medicinal plant rich in bioactive phytochemicals, particularly phenolic and flavonoid compounds, which have been associated with antioxidant and anticancer activities. Natural plant-derived compounds have gained increasing attention as potential alternatives for cancer therapy due to their lower toxicity and diverse pharmacological properties. Aim. To evaluate the antioxidant and anticancer activities of aqueous and alcoholic leaf extracts of Vitex negundo through phytochemical analysis, antioxidant assessment, and cytotoxic evaluation against the human breast cancer cell line (MCF-7). Methods. Leaves of Vitex negundo were extracted using aqueous and 80% methanolic solvents by Soxhlet extraction. Total flavono

Excited-State Aromaticity Reversals in Naphthalene and Anthracene
...Show More Authors

Aromaticity reversals between the electronic ground (S0) and low-lying singlet (S1, S2) and triplet (T1, T2, T3) states of naphthalene and anthracene are investigated by calculating the respective off-nucleus isotropic magnetic shielding distributions using complete-active-space self-consistent field (CASSCF) wavefunctions involving gauge-including atomic orbitals (GIAOs). The shielding distributions around the aromatic S0, antiaromatic S1 (1Lb), and aromatic S2 (1La) states in naphthalene are found to resemble the outcomes of fusing together the respective S0, S1, and S2 shielding distributions of two benzene rings. In anthracene, 1La is lower in energy than 1Lb, and as a result, the S1 state becomes aromatic, and the S2 state becomes anti

Evaluation of Elaj Irrigation Project in Babil Governorate
...Show More Authors

Climate change causes water shortage (water scarcity) in addition to the dams built by neighboring countries, which caused a lack of Iraq's water share. Therefore, evaluating the irrigation system requires considering its suitability, adequacy, and efficiency. Irrigation is considered adequate when it maintains water availability within the root zone, and if the amount to be added is determined, irrigation efficiency becomes possible by avoiding water loss. Babil Governorate is considered one of the agricultural governorates in the country that depends on its irrigation from Shatt Al-Hilla. The study area is the Elaj project. Three fields were selected for the project (B1, B2, and B3). These fields are lo

Estimation the Safety of Parenteral Resveratrol in Mice
...Show More Authors

Resveratrol is polyphenolic compound has many biochemical and biological effects on several organs. Therefore, resveratrol can be used to treat many diseases. The aim was to evaluate resveratrol safety when used in a parenteral single bolus dose. This study was conducted on 60 mice (30 males and 30 females). Each male and female mice divided into 6 groups (five mice per group). All mice groups given 1% DMSO and five different doses of resveratrol (5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.625, 0.312) gm/kg intraperitonially given to five groups respectively. The mice were continuously monitored during 14 days. The number of deaths, changes in general behavior, changes in physiological activity, and signs of toxicity were reported. On day 15 blood was

Retention of Silica Nanoparticles in Limestone Porous Media
...Show More Authors

Nanofluids (dispersion of nanoparticles in a base fluid) have been suggested as promising agents in subsurface industries including enhanced oil recovery. Nanoparticles can easily pass through small pore throats in reservoirs formations; however, physicochemical interactions between nanoparticles and between nanoparticles and rocks can cause a significant retention of nanoparticles. This study investigated the transport, attach, and retention of silica nanoparticles in core plugs. The hydrophilic silica nanoparticles were injected into limestone core as nanofluid of different nanoparticles size (5 nm, and 20 nm), concentration (0.005 – 0.1 wt% SiO2), and base fluid salinity (0 – 3 wt% NaCl) at different temperatures (23, and 50 °C). Transient analysis of laminated plates in thermal environment
...Show More Authors

Transient displacement of laminated plates under combined load based on Mantari' s displacement field are investigated. The solution is implemented under transient mechanical load (sinusoidal, step and triangular sinusoidal distributed pressures pulse) and thermal buckling for plates with different layer orientation and thickness ratio. Equations of motion based on higher-order theory are derived through Hamilton' s principle, and solved using Naviertype solution for simply supported laminated plates. The results are presented for many effective parameters such as the number of laminate and orientation on the dynamic response of plates. Results show the validity of this displacement field in studying response of laminated thick and

Risk Response in Construction Project: A Review Study
...Show More Authors

Construction projects are characterized as projects with multi phases and activities, complex, unique, and have many different parties and stakeholders. Risks could appear at one or more of the construction project stages and may affect the achievement of project objectives. Therefore, one of the key elements in the planning phase of any project is the risk management process (RMP). This study attempts to understand the terminology of risk in general, risk management, and response to risk in particular. This study is mainly a review of thirty-eight studies that have been published between 1997 and 2020 that demonstrate the importance of the crucial phase of risk response from the risk management process and its impact on

Embedded advertisement constitutes a special kind of communication. As it performs many important roles such as giving information, highlighting the value of the product, and urging the target consumer to buy it by influencing his/ her behavior using an attractive manner of mind and conscience. Both cinema and television are the most prominent and powerful advertising media that enjoy the interest of all audiences and capture most of the advertising spending. As advertisers have paid attention to the importance of indirectly incorporating their products into content that the audience loves and is keen to follow, since the actual impact lies in the inclusion of the product within content that the audience appeals to. Hence, this leads to

Risk Assessment in BOT Contracts using AHP Technique
...Show More Authors

The process of risk assessment in the build-operate transfer (BOT) project is very important to identify and analyze the risks in order to make the appropriate decision to respond to them. In this paper, AHP Technique was used to make the appropriate decision regarding response to the most prominent risks that were generated in BOT projects, which includes a comparison between the criteria for each risk as well as the available alternatives and by mathematical methods using matrices to reach an appropriate decision to respond to each risk.Ten common risks in BOT contracts are adopted for analysis in this paper, which is grouped into six main risk headings. The procedures followed in this paper are the questionnaire method
