situation in Iraq was so difficult, therefore the recommendor (Abdul-Ilah)asked Hamdy Al-

Effects of the Ferrits Addition on the Properties of Polyethylene Terephthalate

The products of composites material are very sesetive to many variables, such as manufacturing process, additive materials, …. etc. Filler or additive plays a major role to determine the formation of the properties and behavior of the composites. In this study, polyethylene terephthalate-based compounds were produced and characterized. The work is concerned to prepare samples of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) - zinc-ferrite (ZnFe2O4) with different addition ratio as zinc-ferrite (1, 2, 5, 10, 15 and 20) wt% obtained from mixing the solution with a hot pressing method applied under optimum conditions. The densities of the composites for all samples were calculated. Through the work the diffusion of zinc-ferrite i

Comparison of proton density MRI and T2-Weighted Fast Echo for The Detection of Cervical Spinal Cord Multiple Sclerosis Lesions

Background: The prevalence of spinal cord lesions is high in multiple sclerosis particularly in the cervical cord, and their detection can assist in both the diagnosis and follow-up of the patients. For spinal multiple sclerosis, MRI is considered the first line investigation.

Objective: To evaluate the value of sagittal 1.5 Tesla proton density-fast spin echo (PD-FSE) MRI in the detecting and increasing conspicuity of multiple sclerosis lesions in cervical cord in comparison with sagittal T2 fast spin-echo (T2-FSE) MRI.

Patients and Methods: A cross sectional study carried out from 3rd of January 2017 to 1st of January 2018 in the MRI department of

The interaction of Porphyromonas gingivalis with host epithelial cells and its relevance to periodontal disease

Periodontitis is one of the most prevalent bacterial diseases affecting man with up to 90% of the global population affected. Its severe form can lead to the tooth loss in 10-15% of the population worldwide. The disease is caused by a dysbiosis of the local microbiota and one organism that contributes to this alteration in the bacterial population is Prophyromonas gingivalis. This organism possesses a range of virulence factors that appear to contribute to its growth and survival at a periodontal site amongst which is its ability to invade oral epithelial cells. Such an invasion strategy provides a means of evasion of host defence mechanisms, persistence at a site and the opportunity for dissemination to other sites in the mouth. However, p

Aunimania Behavior (Compulsive Buying) and Its Relationship to the Histrionic Personality of Primary School Teachers

The current research aims to identify the level of compulsive buying behavior and Histrionic Personality among a sample of primary school teachers for the academic year (2021-2022) and in the light of some variables

(sex, marital status). To measure the Histrionic Personality, the researcher applied two scales to a random stratified sample of (200) male and female teachers. The results showed statistically significant differences in the level of compulsive buying behavior according to the gender variable and in favor of female teachers. There are no statistically significant differences in terms of marital status. There are statistically significant differences in the Histrionic Personality based on gender variables in favor of f

An Efficient One-Pot Approach for the Formation of Phenanthridine Derivative; Synthesis and Spectral Characterisation

The preparation of the phenanthridine derivative compound was achieved by adopting an efficient one-pot synthetic approach. The condensation of an ethanolic mixture of benzaldehyde, cyclohexanone and ammonium acetate in a 2:1:1 mole ratio resulted in the formation of the title compound. Analytical and spectroscopic techniques were used to confirm the nature of the new compound. A mechanism for the formation of the phenanthridine moiety that is based on three steps has been suggested

The Effect of Flow as a Strategy on EFL Student-teachers' Performance and their Flow

This study aims at suggesting flow as a strategy for training female EFL student-teachers in the teaching training course and finding out the effect of this strategy on their performance and their flow state. The training course syllabuses will be constructed according to the flow nine factors and the teaching skills. The measurement tools are the student-teacher performance checklist that has already been used by the department of English language and SHORT Flow State Scale (S FSS-2). The study population is represented with the (60) female student-teachers/ fourth stage/ evening studies at theEnglish department /college of education for women/the University of Baghdad. The study is used the experimental design in that (30) of the student-
