In pre- Islamic poetry, there are a lot of words that indicate
peacefulness of one sort of another, in addition to the inspirations of semantic
modeling in which the poet sets himself in various horizons.
Among these words: brother, comrade, friend, companion, lover,
people, prince, home, land, country, blessing, honesty, contract, company,
justice, thankfulness, forgiveness, pardoning, guest, goodness, faithfulness,
silence, death, peace,….
In addition, there are their derivatives from various aspects that indicate
peacefulness either directly or indirectly.
Censure in poetry is a pattern of poetic construction, in which the poet evokes a voice other than his own voice or creates out of his own self another self and engages with him in dialogue in the traditional artistic style whose origin remains unknown. Example of the same may be found in the classical Arabic poets’ stopping over the ruins, crying over separation and departure and speaking with stones and andirons; all in the traditional technical mould. Translating poetry is considered one of the most complicated types of translations. It
encounters many difficulties, the most important of which is the question of possibility or
impossibility of translating poetry. So, it is better to start by asking the following question: is
the translation of poetry possible? Or is it impossible? It is definitely a rhetorical question
because translation is as old as the presence of translated texts, which fills the shelves of
libraries. One can ask despite these difficulties, who would discourage people of the world
from translating poetry merely because it is fundamentally impossible? (Mann, 1970: 211)
