The Dammam Formation in S and SW of Iraq is an Eocene carbonate succession consisting of limestone and dolostone. Two boreholes are selected in Al-Najaf and Al-Samawa area to investigate the biostratigraphy. The biostratigraphy of Dammam Formation consist of 22 species which belong to 13 genera of fossils foraminifera.
Two biozones were distinguished in Dammam Formation depending on benthonic foraminifera Nummulites. These biozones are; Nummulites gizehensis range zone and Alveolina sp. – Coskinolina sp. assemblage zone. According to thESE biozones the age of Dammam Formation represent Middle Eocene , whereas absent of these biozone represent Early and Late Eocene.
Three important electrode arrays in 2D imaging surveys were tested in this study through synthetic model to determine which array is the most successful in defining the vertical and horizontal geological structures. These arrays are Wenner-Schlumberger, Wenner and Dipole - dipole. The numerical modeling was created through vertical fracture zone and three separate cavities surrounded by horizontal layers. The results showed that the Wenner-Schlumberger is the most suitable electrode array when both vertical and horizontal structures are present in the subsurface. It is the best in imaging the vertical and horizontal contacts and represented these structures more accurately than the Wenner and Dipole-dipole arrays.
The research aimed at identifying the values of ball launch and ring entrance angle and relations among them as well as identifying the contribution of ball launch and angle variables in 3 point jump in basketball. The researchers hypothesized statistical relation between ball launch and entrance angle. They used the descriptive method on (10) basketball players best known for their 3 point jump shot. These thermodynamic parameters have been predicted in terms of solute-solute and solute-solvent interaction.

Various assays are used to determine the toxic effects of drugs at cellular levels in vitro. One of these methods is the dye exclusion assay, which measures membrane integrity in the presence of Trypan blue. Trypan blue the dye which was used in this study to investigate cytotoxic effect of a new Cis –dichloroplatinum (II) complex [(Qu)2PtCl2] on the viability of polymorphonuclear cells (PMNs). This study aims to identify the nature of the effect of interdependence between these countries and the impact of each other on each other by designating these countries as heads for the proposed graph and measuring the distance between them using the ultrametric spanning tree.
