Metadiscourse markers are means for organizing a writer’s information and create a connection with her/his readers. When students write, they usually focus on one type of these markers that is the interactive markers and belittling the use of the other type which is the interactional markers. That is to say, they emphasize on presenting and organizing their information only. Therefore, this study is conducted to bridge this gap. The researchers have selected 18 thesis abstracts. Nine of them are written by Iraqi students of English and the rest by American students. The aims of the study are to examine the types and sub-types of metadiscourse markers used by American and Iraqi students; investigate comparatively the impact of the metadiscourse markers used in organizing the given information and engaging the readers. To accomplish these aims, Hyland’s model (2005) is adopted. The results show that both Iraqi and American students use the interactive markers more than the interactional ones and the American use of the interactional markers is higher than Iraqi students.
Salicylaldehyde was react with 4-amino-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-3-Pyrazoline-5-on to produce the novel Schiff base ligand 2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-4-salicylidene-3-pyrazoline-5-on (HL). A new complexes of VO(II), Cr(Ш), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II) and UO2(II) with mixed ligands of bipyridyl and new shiff base ( 2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-4-salicylidene-3-pyrazoline-5-on) (HL) were prepared . All prepared compounds were identified by atomic absorption, FT.IR , UV-Visable spectra and molar conductivity. From the above data, the proposed molecular structure for VO(II) complex is squre pyramidal while (Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II)) and ( UO2(II),Cr(III)) complexes are forming tetrahedral and octahedral geometry respectively.
Mixed ligand complexes of bivalent metal ions, viz ; M= Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd (II), and Hg(II) of the composition [M(Anth)2(TMP)] in 1:2:1 molar ratio, (where . AnthrH= Anthranilic acid (C7H7NO2) and Trimethoprime (TMP) = (C14H18N4O3) have been synthesized and characterized by repeated melting point determination, Solubility, Molar conductivity (Λm ),determination the percentage of the metal (M%) in the complexes by (AAS), FT-IR, magnetic susceptibility measurements [μeff (BM)] and electronic spectral data. The two ligands and their metal complexes have been screened for their bacterial activity against selected microbial strains (Gram +ve) & (Gram -ve).
The complexes of Schiff base of 4-aminoantipyrine and 1,10-phenanthroline with metal ions Mn (II), Cu (II), Ni (II) and Cd (II) were prepared in ethanolic solution, these complexes were characterized by Infrared , electronic spectra, molar conductance, Atomic Absorption ,microanalysis elemental and magnetic moment measurements. From these studies the tetrahedral geometry structure for the prepared complexes were suggested.The prepared ligand of 4-aminoantipyrine was characterized by using Gc-mass spectrometer .

Schiff base obtained from the reaction (Trimethoprim) with (sodiumpyruvate ) to produce the ligand [NaL], the reaction was carried out in methanol as a solvent under reflux. In this study Microwave and conventional methods have been used to extract and estimate pectin and its degree of esterification from dried grapefruit and orange peels. Acidified solution water with nitric acid in pH (1.5) was used. In conventional method, different temperature degrees for extraction pectin from grape fruit and orange(85 ,90 , 95 and 100?C) for 1 h were used The results showed grapefruit peels contained 12.82, 17.05, 18.47, 15.89% respectively, while the corresponding values were 5.96, 6.74, 7.41 and 8.00 %, respectively in orange peels. The study aimed at identifying youth and sport forums from planning and leadership point of view and their relation with organizational culture. The researchers used the descriptive method on (140) worker in Baghdad youth and sport forums. A scale was designed for measuring planning and leadership in youth and sport forums as well as designing a scale for measuring organizational culture. After the application of the main experiment, the results showed that both youth and sport forum administration scale and organizational culture scale are appropriate to the study community.
