Background: Debonding and fracture of artificial teeth from denture bases are common clinical problem, bonding of artificial teeth to heat cure acrylic and high impact heat cure acrylic denture base materials with autoclave processing method is not well known. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of autoclave processing method on shear bond of artificial teeth to heat cure denture base material and high impact heat cure denture base material. Materials and methods: Heat polymerized (Vertex) and high impact acrylic (Vertex) acrylic resins were used. Teeth were processed to each of the denture base materials after the application of different surface treatments. The sample (which consist of artificial tooth attached to the denture base at 45 degree) are consist of (80) artificial teeth from the same model of central incisor, they were prepared , treated and bonded to the conventional heat cured and high impact acrylic denture base material then processed. Control group (Group A 40 samples) in which acrylic resins PMMA cured by conventional water- bath processing technique (74°C for 1.5 hours then boil for 30 minutes),the group was subdivided to 20 samples heat cure acrylic and 20 samples high impact acrylic. Experimentalgroups (Group B 40 samples) in which acrylic resins was cured by autoclave at 121°C, 210KPa. For 30min.the group subdivided to 20 samples heat cure acrylic and 20 samples high impact acrylic. For each subgroup, the 20 samples were subdivided according to surface treatment into: 1-Five acrylic teeth without any surface treatment (control). 2- Five acrylic teeth with diatoric preparation (retention grooves). 3- Five acrylic teeth conditioned with thinner. 4- Five acrylic teeth with retention grooves and thinner. Results: Statistical analysis revealed that chemical and mechanical treatment of acrylic teeth improved the shear bond with heat cure and high impact acrylicalsoautoclave processing improvedthe shear bond with acrylic teeth in high impact acrylic. Conclusion: Autoclave polymerization is suggested as alternative method for processing denture base resins. Autoclave polymerization can be easily performed in laboratory conditions. In High Impact Acrylic, there were highly significant differences of autoclave processing technique compared with water bath regarding the shear bond strength with acrylic teeth.
Huge number of medical images are generated and needs for more storage capacity and bandwidth for transferring over the networks. Hybrid DWT-DCT compression algorithm is applied to compress the medical images by exploiting the features of both techniques. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) coding is applied to image YCbCr color model which decompose image bands into four subbands (LL, HL, LH and HH). The LL subband is transformed into low and high frequency components using Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) to be quantize by scalar quantization that was applied on all image bands, the quantization parameters where reduced by half for the luminance band while it is the same for the chrominance bands to preserve the image quality, the zig

Material and Methods Metal and ceramic brackets were bonded to 240 extracted human premolars using two enamel conditioning protocols: conventional 37% phosphoric acid (PA) gel (control), and an acidic calcium-phosphate (CaP) paste. The CaP paste was prepared from β-tricalcium phosphate and monocalcium phosphate monohydrate powders mixed with 37% phosphoric acid solution, and the resulting phase was confirmed using FTIR. Three-dimension nonlinear finite element model using ANSYS program was employed to study the behavior of bond between concrete and plain steel reinforcement. The ANSYS model includes eight-noded isoperimetric brick element (SOLID65) to model the concrete cylinder while the steel reinforcing bar was modeled as a truss member (LINK8). Interface element (CONTAC52) was used in this analysis to model the bond between concrete and steel bar. This type of concrete is used broadly in public buildings and in other structures . The research involved a number of experiments such as finding the activity index of burned at a temperature of 750 º C according to the standard ( ASTM C-311/03), as well as casting models for the cubic mortar mixtures and concrete containers at different rates of metakaolin ranging between (5% - 20%) as an added part to the cement mix to get a high- compressive

In this manuscript, a simple new method for the green synthesis of platinum nanoparticles (Pt NPs) utilizing F. carica Fig extract as reducing agent for antimicrobial activities was reported. Simultaneously, the microstructural and morphological features of the synthesized Pt NPs were thoroughly investigated. In particular, the attained Pt NPs exhibited spherical shape with diameter range of 5-30 nm and root mean square of 9.48 nm using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), respectively. Additionally, the final product (Pt NPs) was screened as antifungal and antibacterial agent against Candida and Aspergillus species as well as Gram-positive Staphyllococcus aureus and G

Various surgical methods had being proposed to treat such problem. Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of square flap in management of postburn contracture in several part of the body. Patients and methods: From April 2019 to June 2020 a total number of 20 patients who had postburn contracture in various parts of their body were subjected to scar contracture release using square flap. The follow up period was ranging between 6 months to 12 months.
