This study has been devoted to experimentally investigate the effect of applying laser shock peening (LSP) on the fatigue performance for 6061-T6 aluminum alloy rotary shafts. Q-switched pulsed Nd:YAG laser was used with operating parameters of 500 mJ and 600 mJ pulse energies, 12 ns pulse duration and 10 Hz pulse repetition rate. This research involves studying the mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of “low carbon steel” (0.077wt% C) before and after welding using Arc, MIG and TIG welding. The mechanical properties include testing of microhardness, tensile strength, the results indicate that microhardness of TIG, MIG welding is more than arc welding, while tensile strength in arc welding more than TIG and MIG.

In this work the structural, electrical and optical Properties of CuO semiconductor films had been studied, which prepared at three thickness (100, 200 and 500 nm) by spray pyrolysis method at 573K substrate temperatures on glass substrates from 0.2M CuCl2•2H2O dissolved in alcohol. Structural Properties shows that the films have only a polycrystalline CuO phase with preferential orientation in the (111) direction, the dc conductivity shows that all films have two activation energies, Ea1 (0.45-0.66 eV) and Ea2 (0.055-.0185 eV), CuO films have CBH (Correlated Barrier Hopping) mechanism for ac-conductivity. MWCNTs and hybrid nanocomposite ZnO/Se/MWCNTs have been prepared via Solvothermal technique using Parr reactor at the temperature 180°C and SeCl2 as a catalyst. The obtained MWCNTs and ZnO/Se/MWCNTs are investigated using the FE-SEM, XRD, UV-VIS Spectroscopy and Z-Scan. The novelty of this research is studying the nonlinear optical properties for these prepared materials and the results exhibit that the thickness of the deposited film for hybrid nanocomposite ZnO/Se/MWCNTs is increased, which in turn, increase the nonlinear phase shift of the laser beam compared with the MWCNTs.
