Isolation and Immunopathological Evaluation of Chromobacterium violaceum from Diarrheic Chickens
...Show More Authors

Background Chromobacterium violaceum is a rare but potentially pathogenic bacterium that can infect humans and animals. Limited information is available about its occurrence in poultry. This study aimed to isolate and identify C. violaceum from diarrheic chickens and to evaluate its immunological impact in a mouse model. Methods Fifty chicken diarrhea fecal samples were cultured and typed by biochemical tests, Vitek 2 Compact System, and 16S rRNA gene PCR sequencing. Killed bacterial antigens were prepared and administered to mice to measure immune responses (IgG and IL-6 levels by ELISA). The Aloe vera extract (100 mg/ml) was co-administered with the antigen to evaluate its immunomodulatory effect. A histopathological study of the liver, kidney, spleen, and intestine following experimental infection was conducted to detect tissue alterations. Results C. violaceum was cultured and diagnosed using molecular methods. Pathological changes in the liver, kidney, and intestine, such as necrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration, were significantly observed in infected mice. Immunological analysis revealed antibody response alterations and organ lesion scoring compared to controls. Conclusions This is the initial report on isolating and identifying C. violaceum from Iraqi poultry. The findings highlight its pathogenicity, zoonotic potential, and impact on signaling surveillance and preventive control in poultry production.

A Prototype and Roadmap for Transition to IPv6 with Performance Evaluation
...Show More Authors

The migration from IPv4 to IPv6 can not be achieved in a brief period, thus both protocols co-exist at certain years. IETF Next Generation Transition Working Group (NGtrans) developed IPv4/IPv6 transition mechanisms. Since Iraq infrastructure, including universities, companies and institutions still use IPv4 protocol only. This research article tries to highlight, discuss a required transition roadmap and extend the local knowledge and practice on IPv6. Also, it introduces a prototype model using Packet tracer (network simulator) deployed for the design and implementation of IPv6 migration. Finally, it compares and evaluates the performance of IPv6, IPv4 and dual stack using OPNET based on QoS metrics such as throughput, delay and point to

Evaluation Of Electromagnetic Pollution Of Cellular Mobile Network
...Show More Authors

Wireless communications are characterized by their fastest growth in history, as they used ever-evolving and renewed technologies, which have allowed them to spread widely. Every day, communication technology introduces a new invention with features that differ from its predecessor. Bell Laboratories first suggested mobile wireless communication services to the general population in the late 1940s. Still, it wasn't easy at that time to use on a large scale due to its high costs. This paper aims to describe the state of cellular mobile networks; by comparing the sources of electromagnetic pollution caused by these networks, measure the level of power density in some residential areas, and compare them with international standards adopted in

Abstract<p>A total of four types of instant dry yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae which are Gloripan, Swan, Super Man (China) and Saf (Turkey), were obtained from the local market in Baghdad, Iraq. All the types were identified according to their morphological characteristics and screened for their ability to produce biosurfactant by oil spread method. Biosurfactant was extracted and partially purified by precipitation with ammonium sulfate at saturation ratio75%. Antibacterial activity of crude and partially purified biosurfactant was tested against twenty isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the results showed that crude biosurfactant has no</p> ... Abstract<p>A process of bacterial cellulose gold nanocomposite has been investigated based on experimental work and cited literature. A literature review on the production process is carried out in this study. Bacterial cellulose is a high crystalline fabric material generally used in biomedical applications. A Nanocomposite was made by synthesis from gold and bacterial cellulose. The experimental work includes growing, and isolating bacterial cellulose, preparation of gold Nanoparticles and preparation of Nano composite. Nanoparticle’s formation and adsorption on the cellulose tissue have been observed visually, where a colour change was observed. The predicted particle size for the gold nano</p> ... Show More
