Assessing CA Stomach and H. Pylori Relationship: Outcomes and Implications
...Show More Authors

Background: The outlook for patients with stomach cancer is generally poor, with gastric cancer being the second most common cause of cancer death. Although advances in diagnosis and treatment have led to a drastic decrease in the incidence of gastric cancer in developed countries in the past few decades. Aim: Our current study aims to evaluate the clinical and pathological outcomes associated with the effect of H. pylori on gastritis (gastric cancer) patients. Methods: To evaluate the association between gastritis (gastric cancer) and H. pylori, demographic and diagnostic parameters of 103 patients were recorded during the follow-up period, which ranged from October 2023 to October 2024, In several hospitals in Iraq. Our study detected the degree and severity of H. pylori by polymerase chain reaction. The quality of life of patients was assessed by a general health assessment (SF - 36) questionnaire, and a curve was made to show the survival rate of patients during the follow-up period. Results: Our outcomes found patients with ages above 45 years were the most group participated, with 42.72%, males with 62 cases and females with 41 cases, obesity with 42.72%, smokers with 36.89%, and alcohol consumption with 12.62%. According of gastric cancer, the upper tumor got 40.78%, tumor size had 6.12 ± 1.42, lymph node metastasis of N1 was 32.04%, N3 was 11.65%, and N2 was 18.45%. Clinical of tumor signs were CEA ?6 ?g/L include 86.41%. Conclusion: Based on our outcomes, gastric cancer remains a large global health problem because H. pylori implicates it as a major risk factor for it

Organic acid concentration thresholds for ageing of carbonate minerals: Implications for CO2 trapping/storage
...Show More Authors

Hypothesis CO2 geological storage (CGS) involves different mechanisms which can store millions of tonnes of CO2 per year in depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs and deep saline aquifers. But their storage capacity is influenced by the presence of different carboxylic compounds in the reservoir. These molecules strongly affect the water wetness of the rock, which has a dramatic impact on storage capacities and containment security. However, precise understanding of how these carboxylic acids influence the rock’s CO2-wettability is lacking. Experiments We thus systematically analysed these relationships as a function of pressure, temperature, storage depth and organic acid concentrations. A particular focus was on identifying organic acid conce

Analyzing the relationship between stock market volatility and economic activity in the USA
...Show More Authors

This study examines the dynamic relationship between stock market and economic activity in the United States to verify the possibility of using financial indicators to monitor the turning points in the expected path of future economic activity. Has been used methodology (Johansen - Juselius) for the Co-integration and causal (Granger) to test the relationship between the (S & P 500 , DJ) index  and gross domestic product (GDP) in the United States for the period
(1960-2009). The results of the analysis revealed the existence of a causal relationship duplex (two-way) between the variables mentioned. which means the possibility of the use stock market indicators to pre

Objective: To evaluate knowledge towards smoking and its relationship with lung cancer among members of
Baghdad Nursing College.
Methodology: The study comprised 100 affiliates from the College of Nursing/ University of Baghdad that
included students, teaching staff and employees. All data was collected through a structured questionnaire
prepared by the National Cancer Research Center which were answered during a scientific symposium
organized by the center on lung Cancer Awareness in March 2016.The data were analyzed by using the SPSS,
version 22
Results: The age of the respondents ranged from (19-64 years); 76% were females and only 4% were smokers.
The results showed that the mean score for the level of knowled

Ability of gingival crevicular fluid volume, E‐cadherin, and total antioxidant capacity levels for predicting outcomes of nonsurgical periodontal therapy for periodontitis patients

Abstract
<title>Objectives

To determine the potential of gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) volume, E‐cadherin and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) levels to predict the outcomes of nonsurgical periodontal therapy (NSPT) for periodontitis patients.

Background

NSPT is the gold‐standard treatment for periodontal pockets < 6 mm in depth, however, successful outcomes are not always guaranteed due to several factors. Periodontitis‐associated tissue destruction is evidenced by the increased level of soluble E‐cadherin and reduced antioxidants in oral fluids which could be used as predictors for success/failure of N

The Impact of Infliximab Trough Level and Anti-Drug Antibody on Clinical Outcomes in Crohn's Disease Patients: A Cross-Sectional Study in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Primary and secondary response loss , often mediated by the development of anti-drug antibodies (ADAs), limit treatment efficacy. Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is important in optimizing infliximab therapy by correlating drug level with clinical outcomes. This study aimed to find the relationship between infliximab level, ADA presence, and clinical activity in Iraqi Crohn's disease (CD) patients. This cross-sectional study included adult Crohn's disease patients receiving maintenance infliximab (IFX) treatment. Data on demographics and clinical characteristics were collected. Infliximab level and ADA were measured using ELISA. Forty-three patients were included. Patients in remission had significantly higher infliximab levels and lower

The Relationship between Iraqi EFL University Students’ Cognitive Flexibility and Writing Performance
...Show More Authors

One of the main significant purposes of learning the English language is the need to have an effective communication allowing for exchange and transmitting information. As a basic form of human communication that allows people to connect, communicate, and share experiences with one another is writing skill. Through practicing trainable abilities like speaking, and writing, adaptation skills are required to overcome issues that develop in unfamiliar environments. Learners must be cognitively flexible to reconstruct and adjust to these situations' demands. This study aims at looking into the level of cognitive flexibility and writing abilities of Iraqi EFL university students. It also seeks to determine how these two variables are related. It

RELATIONSHIP OF ESSENTIALLY SEMISMALL QUASI-DEDEKIND MODULES WITH SCALAR AND MULTIPLICATION MODULES

Let R be a ring with 1 and W is a left Module over R. A Submodule D of an R-Module W is small in W(D ≪ W) if whenever a Submodule V of W s.t W = D + V then V = W. A proper Submodule Y of an R-Module W is semismall in W(Y ≪_S W) if Y = 0 or Y/F ≪ W/F ∀ nonzero Submodules F of Y. A Submodule U of an R-Module E is essentially semismall(U ≪es E), if for every non zero semismall Submodule V of E, V∩U ≠ 0. An R-Module E is essentially semismall quasi-Dedekind(ESSQD) if Hom(E/W, E) = 0 ∀ W ≪es E. A ring R is ESSQD if R is an ESSQD R-Module. An R-Module E is a scalar R-Module if, ∀ , ∃ s.t V(e) = ze ∀ . In this paper, we study the relationship between ESSQD Modules with scalar and multiplication Modules. We show that

The problem of privacy of humanity, as AI technologies can control human rights and freedoms, while monitoring potential violations in this context. The study use of documentary research and qualitative lens to analyze the data. In conclusion, unawareness of the use of AI may impose significant hurdles on future generations and may infringe on human rights across all sectors of society. The government should mandate obligations for artificial intelligence businesses concerning education, health, human right
