The ceiling of the midbrain has a couple of optic lobes which are prominent and used as an optic center that reflex what it receives from eye retina fibers. The histology of optic tectum has been studied in Iraqi water snake natrix tesselata tesselata . It was found that the number of optic tectum were seven main strata organized from the outside to the inside as follows : the stratum zonula (SZ), the stratum opticum (SO), the stratum fibrosum et griseum superficialis (SFGS), the stratum griseum central (SGC), the stratum album central (SAC), the stratum griseum periventricular (SGP), and the stratum album periventricular (SAP). the three last strata consider deep layers on the optic tectum It was noticed that the thinnest strata was the first (SZ), which is (20-25)µ m, in its thickness, while the thickest strata was the third (SFGS), which is (150-180)µ m. this stratum consist of three substrata (a.b.c). it was found that the optic fibers that come from eye retina enter the optic tectum through the second stratum which is the (SO) . so these fibers go out from optic tectum through the sixth stratum which is the (AGP). the fourth (SGC) contained a concentrated cells of three types which are ,the medium pear shape neuron , medium fusiform neuron , and medium multipolar neuron.

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the top ten most common cancers worldwide. There are multiple risk factors for CRC, one of which is aging. However, in recent years, CRC has been reported in children. Objective: To describe the main characteristics and symptoms of CRC as well as highlight pathologic data for early-onset CRC. The present study aims to investigate the long-term histopathological, and physiological effects of different concentrations of a commercially available energy drink (Tiger) on liver and kidney of young mice. Sixteen Balb/c male mice,6 -week old, were divided into 4 groups (n=4). Two groups consumed the energy drink at a concentration of 28µl energy drink/ml water. One group were killed after 10 days (T1), another group were killed after 20 days (T2). Other group of mice consumed the energy drink at a final concentration of 14µl/ml for 20 days (T3). The determination of river pollution impact on the performance of water treatment plants is achieved by two main objectives. The first is to study raw and treated water qualities and comparing them with standards and the second is to evaluate the treatment plants efficiency. The analyzed data were those water quality parameters in relation to physical, chemical and bacteriological characteristics for river water and produced water by seven water treatment plants located on Tigris River passing through Baghdad City.
