A laboratory experiment has been carried out in the College of Science-University of Salahaddin to study the effect of different levels (0,5,10 and 15%) and sizes(250 and 1000µm) of walnut seeds residues and (160mg.kg^-1) phosphorus fertilization on the concentration of phosphorus availability and alkaline phosphatase activity in calcareous soil during 15 and 30 days period of incubation, the experimental design in factorial complet randomize design (C.R.D) with three replications.  Background: Congenital malformations are responsible for a considerable proportion of perinatal, neonatal and infant mortality in many Eastern Mediterranean countries. So this study
aims to find out the incidence, types and probable risk factors of these malformations in Baghdad.
Patients and methods: one hundred cases of congenital malformations were studied out of 8090 neonates born in 4 hospitals in Baghdad province over 5 months in 2002 (preterm, term) .The incidence , types and risk factors were analysed.

This paper deals with load-deflection behavior the jointed plain concrete pavement system using steel dowel bars as a mechanism to transmit load across the expansion joints. Experimentally, four models of the jointed plain concrete pavement system were made, each model consists of two slabs of plain concrete that connected together across expansion by two dowel bars and the concrete slab were supported by the subgrade soil.
